Hey people :) Many think that U2 still is the greatest band in the world. I think they have been there but are stuck, they need to change if they want the chance to become the biggest band again. NLOTH was not selling very well, despite the fact that U2 did all they could to advertise, but still people say they are bigger than Coldplay. I think Coldplay became the biggest band in the world when they released VLV. They made the right changes and became bigger. I figured I'd best start this thread up, as we had similar threads for ETIAW and Christmas Lights. Maybe it's because ETIAW has grown on me a little bit in the past few months but on first impressions I'm even less impressed by this. Whilst it's not an awful song, it does feel a bit too generic and radio-by-the-numbers for my liking. Which is slightly depressing considering this is the same band who gave us Politik, God Put A Smile Upon Your Face etc... Still looking forward to Mylo Xyloto quite a bit and will definitely give it a listen when it comes out, but this song has dashed my hopes slightly.

Hey all. I went out about four hours ago to buy the new Kasabian record, which was released today, so it's bloody fresh. If you feel like it, you can read what I think of it, call it a review if you like, but I'm not saying anything technical, as I've only listened to it twice through, of there abouts. GOD i love Pet Sounds.... the pinnacle of pop music. and i guess they had a bunch of other albums too that weren't as good but they were kinda fun... except those ones after brian wilson left, they really sucked... so is anybody else a fan?

Well... all is in the title ! I like it. tom delonge (former blink 182 guitarist) has a new band called angels & airwaves. their album "we don't need to whisper" is due out in late may and the first single "the adventure" has been on the radio a bit lately. anybody hear it? i think it's really good. darker and more emotional sound much like blink's last album. i've downloaded that song and another song from the album...i like what i hear so far. always been a fan of blink and box car racer and stuff...glad he's still making solid music.
