Do you think band like Muse, Coldplay, Green day or U2 are the latest big band in the world who are able to sold out arena and stadium. Now famous band don't have a long life time and they're really bad (like LMFA). I ask me too if artist will continu to use real instrument.

But anyway, Exits by The Boxer Rebellion got a striking 7/10 in NME this week. I advise you to buy, this band were the first band to knock me off my feet for a long, long time. What do you think about the "Dean of American Rock Critics"? I think he's a great critic and his capsule reviews are quite entertaining sometimes. :D He's eloquent and insightful and we have similar taste so I like finding out what he thinks about my favorite artists. Example

So I saw this topic on another forum. I didn't see one on here, and although I'm wary of starting a new thread, I'm curious about what Coldplayers think. I'll start. I really really don't like U2 (swear I'm not trying to troll here!). I find that a lot of their stuff is very bland for my taste, and their albums are all the same to me! I also really don't like Bono (his voice is too repetitive and he is a boring lyricist, in my opinion). They're just plain-Jane rock to me, and I don't see what the big deal is. OK, this is not a thread about wanting to be cool. It is about looking at an artist or band, not disliking them, just not really getting them but at the same time realising that you like similar things and the artist in question has affected millions of people and has many fans. It could just be that you haven't heard the right song to get into them and you are approaching them from the wrong angle. A year ago, for example, I found Neil Young quite annoying. This is something that I've been wanting to see be done for quite some time now...I just never had the guts to post a thread giving it a shot. Finally, I've decided to post my idea. :shy: I think that it would be SO cool to have a competition of sorts in which people cover their favourite songs. It doesn't always have to be CP songs. It can be anything you want. And you can be ANY age, from ANYWHERE, of course!!!! : ) You don't have to be superstar material. Just choose a favourite song and put all your heart and soul into it.
