My threads about music artists have always had an incredible knack of sinking into oblivion very quickly, I mention this to gain your sympathy but not just for myself, but for you to enjoy an artist who is unique, interesting and attempts to be understated. I honestly thought it was The White Stripes until tonight when i saw the video for it on MTV Rocks!! Listening to a few of their tracks on myspace now and OMG - what have i been missing out on?! :shocked2::bomb: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEbBIswSsEA]Band of Skulls - "Death By Diamonds and Pearls"[/ame] Any other fans of this band around here?

We are looking for bands who would like to record their single, EP or album in the studio. The studio is owned by Criminal Records UK, who also arrange live concerts and music industry networking events through the bookings arm, Criminal Booking Agency - so feel free to get in touch for all of those things. Our producers have worked with a large number of high profile acts including Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper, Mark Ronson (Level 42), James Blunt, Das Pop, The Magic Numbers, Florence and The Machine, Keane, Graham Coxon, Hard Fi, Boy Kill Bo…

I figured I'd make this thread to try and weed out all of the fanboys and fangirls, and try to get a less biased poll rather than just it's 10/10 (which it is not even close IMO).

  15. Hahaha. This is probably pointless but I really want a place to talk strictly Jonas. So this could be the place. Talk only Jonas all the time. Biography: Jonas Bjerre (born Jonas Bjerre Terkelsbøl on Tuesday, September 21, 1976 in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen, Denmark) is the singer, lyricist and rhythm guitarist for the Danish rock band Mew. http://www.eight-and-a-half.com/ Into Broken Social Scene? Metric? Recently disbanded The Stills? Eight And A Half has got it all with a dreamy, silky side-project fronted by BSS drummer Justin Peroff, Metric co-producer Dave Hamelin, and Liam O’Neil of The Stills. Arts & Crafts recently signed them and they released a new single called Scissors into the world, a bedroom-pop dreamy spacial song. Hi coldplayers, this summer I was in London on holidays and discovered something new in Notting Hill. There was a guy playing the guitar and I stopped to listen to his music. I can't describe how it sounded, but I felt in love with the music immediately. Here you have their website and myspace: http://www.robbie-boyd.com/ , http://www.myspace.com/robbieboydmusic/music Hope you enjoy the music :)

  23. Because I'm totally up for it again if enough of you are. I know I haven't been around here pretty much at all lately (life changing at warp speed blah blah...) so I'm not sure what sort of mood or whatever the board has been in or what you've already been up to, but it is sort of a tradition and a fun one I think. For the new around here, every year we make a ranked list of our favorite albums that came out in the past year. In Decemberish I combine the rankings and come up with a board-wide countdown of our top albums. It's a great way to discover new music. :hat2: So who's in? Questions? Comments? Suggestions?
