I felt the urge to make this thread because helping loved ones or even strangers is the best gift/feeling to spread. I'm collecting postcards from all over the world. I started two years ago and since then I have many of them, most of those postcards I bought by myself but I'd love to have some from countries that I've never been to (And surely, I won't go there anytime soon). And I've been looking for courses, organizations, etc. all over my city. The only introductory courses are for 4-year-olds and 5-year-olds. I'm 15 years old and I'm an absolute novice. I have no one in my family to teach me, and I've asked all my neighbors to no avail. And while it would be a good solution to have friends who teach me skills, I have virtually no friends atm as I've been moving schools very frequently. I've seen soccer courses at my community college but I'm not too comfortable with playing with adults that are twice my height, several of them being actually very skilled. Hi! Soooooo my orchestra teacher is leaving at the end of next week when we leave for Christmas break. It'll also be her last week here because of maternity leave til next September when school starts again. I might not be here next year because I could possibly be going to another school, but either way, I am moving grades, therefore I won't have her as a teacher anymore. What should I get her? She really is passionate about music and her baby is going to be a boy. She already has a new baton that she used at Thursday's winter concert, so that's out of the question. PLEASE HELP ASAP! But why do we (I'm sure some languages don't, but I'm talking of the ones that do) start a sentence with a capital letter? I've always done it without questioning and there is obviously a good reason for it, otherwise language would have evolved and stopped doing it but having spent the grand total of five minutes actually considering why, I'm unsure. I was just reading and came across a word which I was unsure as to whether it began with a capitalised letter because it was at the start of the sentence or because it was a proper noun. yeah i need advice i guess One girl in my school is sort of a stalker, she follows me and my friends around and whenever she sees me she has to yell my name in a "OMG YOU´RE hErE" way and she hugs me from behind too often and when I walk home she grabs my arm to say goodbye and yells my name from faraway to say goodbye again.
