Oasis and Coldplay tribute bands Noasis and Coldplace have embarked in a war of words with each other ahead of this Sunday’s outdoor Jedi Festival. The two tribute acts have followed in the footsteps of their idols, by both claiming they will steal the show at Southport’s Victoria Park. So I havn't been a Coldplay fan since the very start... probably cause I'm young. Or because I just wasn't? I dunno I think alot of people are the same way though. So it's cool when I find out all these quirky little facts about Coldplay, because I guess I don't know nearly as much as a lot of you. So I was thinking we should have a thread to post them. I'll start Apparently, Jonny lives on the same street as Amy Winehouse.

What Coldplay song did you first listen to that made you a fan? For me, I've listened to Coldplay since 2004, but I wasn't really a huge fan until I heard Life in Technicolor ii.

okay, so being a college kid does have it's strange oddities.....today my friend Mallorie and I decided we'd transform my stuffed animal guinea pig Chris into.....well, his namesake, Chris Martin. Here are the pictures: and yes....he's a hit with all the ladies, just like Mr. Martin, lol. We are in the process of building him a little piano and of course, it shall have the MTF letters on the side. A quick question, what animals would you suggest to use for Guy, Jon, and Will? I mean, it might be lame, but I started, might as well finish it off....Any help would be appreciated! Thanks and I'll take other pictures with the piano....

So I know the song Homecoming by Kanye West has been out for a while but I'm still confused. I saw the Oracle's response about Homecoming and with John Legend...so was Chris playing the piano in the song? I guess he didn't write that part...? And does anyone know why Homecoming doesn't say (feat. Chris Martin?) That always annoyed me... Everyone always seems surprised when I tell them "Yeah that's Chris Martin from Coldplay singing!" I really do like the song, and Chris' part is amazing. Thank you for your patience.

Someone I know was bagging Coldplay at work today (they all take the piss out of me b/c they think Im obsessed, lol):laugh3: It's all good natured. Anyway, they said Chris should get his front teeth fixed. I personally think the man is God like anyway, and nothing could really improve him. I think the gap gives him added sex appeal, sometimes the perfect Hollywood smile looks too fake anyway. ALso, it might alter the way he sings. Do you think he should get his teeth fixed? Discuss!

Hey, I was going back over an interview the band did in 2002 with VH1, and I came across an interesting quote that I didn't really know what to make of. VH1: You’re always hinting that maybe this might be the last Coldplay record. Chris: We’ll wait and see. I sometimes think we’re just a one-hit wonder and that’s it for us.
