Is it better to create a thread that's already been created before, but that similar thread has not had any replies in a long time? Or to just bump that old thread?

So I'm thinking of changing my major, and I really want to minor or possibly double major in a foreign language. But I'm having a hard time choosing between two -- French and Spanish. I'm really interested in studying French, but where I live, it's not the most useful language to know. It would be a lot more beneficial to study Spanish, and I've already had two years of it during high school, so at least I wouldn't basically be starting from scratch. So what do I choose, the one I'm more interested in, or the one that is more useful to know?

As far as morals and values go, does anyone think it's weird that a forty-something year old man resides in a forum of predominantly teenage and young adult users? In particular, in the real world, what would be made of such a person interacting with young teenage girls? What would their parents think? It was suposed that a friends of mine and I would go to a party for college students. We met at 12 am and went to one of my friends´ house. Yknawwhadayemean? Personally, no, not at all. It's rare that I try to push a band/film/book/game or whatever onto another persons, and when I do it's more in the hope they enjoy it too, so they can enjoy it for themselves. That's what I hope for, rather then the expectation that they should like it, and I should look great for suggesting it, because that seems to be why some people do constantly recommend different things they are enjoying. So I'm at my friend's place and her niece is here as well.. She's cute and all but the problem is..I find kids to be kinda annoying. She can't stop talking. She talks and talks and just keep on talking. At first I tried to be nice. I tried to sing a song with her but she stopped me saying "well if you keep on singing how am I supposed to sing?" Now I just stopped trying. I think I don't like kids and I think they doné like me too. It's kinda mutual. That will be my situation next weekend for several flights as I go down to Florida with my dad (who couldn't book us any two seats linear seats). I also have no aisle or window seats. What will that be like? What are the chances or weird people attempting to make small talk? Chances of a pedo (ie Mark) sitting next to me? Best to just keep my head down and go to my happy place? i no very good at bass but don't care because i don't really care playing bass. i leave my bass at drummer house and play at band practices, I skip half the time too lazy to drive. No work on timing cause that the drummer job even when his timing good. If his timing good and mine bad, he has adjust to me so timing will be better. What should do?
