So, I'm about to graduate and I don't really know what I want to do after having finished uni. I study English Literature, Spanish Linguistics and Business and I've got lots of different ideas, but they are all a bit vague and change all the time. Working at a record company would be great, especially in the A&R department, but it's nearly impossible to get a job there. Being a translator might be quite interesting too...or working at a museum...or as an editor at a publishing house...or opening my own book shop (that would be absolutely amazing, but I'm not sure if I would take the risk.). As you can see, I'm ever so slightly confused. :\ Where do you work or what…

I have to write a 10-minute long one-act play for English class, so all of you helpful helpers out there, I am open to suggestions coz I have no clue what it should be about. SO, Coldplayer, WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR IN A DRAMA? Rules. 1) Don't suggest copyrighted stuff. 2) When I say "What do you look for in a drama," answering "explosions and car chases and excitement zomg lazer fire pew pew pewwww! :wacky:" is cheating.

One of the most awesome videos in the history of the universe: :shocked2: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qybUFnY7Y8w]YouTube- OK Go - This Too Shall Pass - RGM version[/ame] ...Anyone want to know why that wasn't Strawberry Swing? Try to embed it. Remember that treadmill video these guys did? The one that was embedded across the entire internet? Try embedding it now. Doesn't work. But that's the video that made them famous and made EMI lots of money you say. Yes. But they would rather make 20$ for the video than thousands for the cd. Why is this one here? EMI made State Farm pay for it for us. Why does this belong in the lounge rather than m…

I thought we should have a thread for stuff that doesn't really need or deserve it's own thread but doesn't have a place in an existing thread either. You can spam it if you want, after all it's for all to use. Chit-chat is not encouraged, you have visitor messages for that. It's also for stuff that would be mocked if it got it's own thread. ENJOY...

I'm sitting here at work (I'm a security guard so I am at the exit to the building), as people leave I smile at them and if they say goodnight, I'll wish them the same thing. But the vast majority of people when I smile at them, rather than sharing a few seconds of pleasantness with another person choose to stare at me for a few seconds like I am a piece of shit, while walking out of the building and completely forget I was even there as they walk through the door. This genuinely annoys me so much, I could easily sit there with a face like an arse ignoring them as they walk out, but no I actually try to be nice to people and they don't even give a shit. I dunno if it's me…

It was many years ago that three wise Indians, one a Menominee, one a Potawatomi, and one a Chippewa met on Thunder Mountain to hold a council. As they sat exchanging ideas, they suddenly heard a great noise that seemed to come from the north side of the mountain. Rushing to the location of the sounds, they were surprised to see two great Spirit Forces fighting. At about the same time the spirits saw the Indians, and one of them called out, "Help me," he said, "For I am the Thunder Bird Spirit." Help me and you will always have much food, for I make the corn grow erect, and give life to the trees and flowers. I am the life Spirit." Then cried the other Spirit, "He…

So I'm going to take a break for a while, go job hunting, spend more time in the real world ('cause it's pretty enjoyable these days), play trumpet more often, and write my story for all of you to read when I get back. See you later, people who sorta care. 8D
