EasySuperstition99 Posted November 3, 2019 Share Posted November 3, 2019 the new track is very meh. it just doesn’t go anywhere or do much of anything, and the message and “hook“ are very on the nose. however i think it’s gonna make way more sense in context since it’s the last track of the record. i’m suspecting the second to last track is bombastic and all that was expected to happen at the end of everyday life and then everyday life closes out the album in a short/sweet and refreshing way. don’t know why they released this as a single though. 8 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was expecting something more like the ending of What If after that last chorus. And usually the second single is the big single from every album. They chose to release this song now because it obviously is special to them. Think people are missing the essence of the song for what it is. As for the song not having a big ending, they have done that plenty of times. Have you forgotten that they don't like repeating themselves? But after listening to it - at least as a single - it does feel something else comes after or something is missing.
