Matt McGinn (author of 'Roadie: My Life on the Road with Coldplay') is being interviewed about the book this afternoon on the Pat Marsh show, which is on from 1pm till 4pm. Pat's a pretty good interviewer, very light-hearted and non-controversial but often gets good insight from guests. It'll probably only be for about five minutes I'd guess. The rest of his show's a mix of a lot of human interest and jokey banter. Oh, and lots of 80s music :P Anyone in the UK can listen for up to seven days afterwards (I think) on iPlayer. Coldplay 'will be back' at Glastonbury Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis said today he expects Coldplay to return as headliners to the festival next year. The band last topped the bill at the festival when they played in 2005. I wasn't on the boards when the viva era kicked off unfortunatly :( But I'm really curious to find out the following: . 1. The free shows, Brixton Academy London, somewhere in Barcelona and also the Madison square one, how did people get tickets for those? :\ 2. The pre-tour-warmup-thing, the show on 13th June, how did people get tix for that!?!? 3. The secret show in Paris, and also the BBC show, how on earth do people hear about those types of show? I LOVE every single track from X&Y and as much as i LOVE viva la vida too, i can't say the same thing. X&Y is a masterpiece, i can't say the same for viva la vida.

I am very much loving to like to play my acoustical stringed instrument to the musical stylings of Martins timeless 1980s anthem 'Fix You' and I has made some editions to the lyrics of Cristov Martin which I think have very much perhaps improved the song, if not completed it! Also I think my chord progressions are very much better than Martins because Martin is just all "Oh I will fingerpick the same four chords!", but Yossarian is all "Oh I will fingerpick those four chords alright, but I shall throw in a DIMINISHED SEVENTH", which Martin would never and has never done because he is not a real musician he is sort of like the indie equivilant of Avril Lavinge. :laugh3: …

As I was listening to some of Coldplay's b-sides tonight, it made me wonder: what if the b-sides were put on albums, and some of Coldplay's biggest hits were only b-sides? What if Clocks was replaced with Murder? What if Fix You was replaced with How You See the World? Wouldn't it be odd?
