I wont lie. I'm pissed off with the amount of threads about Coldplay's use of playback which give out wrong information! I want to give you the facts and give you all a better understanding of how it works and why they use playback. Lets start with the song viva la vida and I will go through some of the most asked about. The strings in this song aren't played live they are in the playback mix . Hi there folks. Today I came across the latest Roadie post and the words 'future plans' immediately got my attention. Hello everyone, On the 20th of July, just 11 days ago; a nineteen year old boy named Sam Lewis, also known as 'Mr Nice Guy' among his friends and family, tragically collapsed and died in his workplace due to genetic problems. Sam attended the same school as me and he was a great lover of Coldplay. His favourite song 'Till Kingdom Come' was played at his funeral which was packed with all the people who knew and loved him. I read a review the other day, which was a bit critical towards the band and it suggested that almost everything is scripted in their shows. For example, when Chris throws his guitar on stage, it gets a replay on screen in slowmo. Nice effect, but it shows it's not a spontaneous move (anymore). It's still a lazy Sunday afternoon here and I have an idea. A Coldplay Fan Orchestra/Band/Choir. This would be like the Doctor Who and Sherlock fan orchestras where people submit videos of them playing along to a song in turn making a virtual orchestra cover. Would that be a good idea?

this is a really selfish thread but I need help designing my own Coldplay t-shirt I am going to a custom t-shirt place and I need some cool unique ideas I was thinking I would get a black t-shirt and write coldplay in the front in dark red in a scary font (like a horror movie poster) and write viva la vida at the back in the same font so please let me know all your ideas pictures, drawings, everything is welcome pretend you are designing it for yourself :)

As title says A kid at the school where I work did a painting and it was going to be thrown as it didn't have a name on and nobody knew who's is was, When I saw it it reminded me of coldplays mylo xyloto wall graffiti/art work So I brought it home and put ' Coldplay ' and ' mylo xyloto' on in with the font letter from the Internet. I know that if they don't bring it back by July 2nd, I'm going to strip naked during that gig and demand they play it, that's how much I just love it. Before it gets that drastic though, does anyone have any idea what else we can do to bring this issue to the band's attention? We can tweet, email, call, etc. If you feel as strongly as I do about this, what can we do to get the band's attention? I have a few ideas running through my head right now that I'll share throughout the day. What's yours?

The guy does sound a bit like Chris though, and I've seen more live videos and they duplicate the songs extremely well. Hell, I could mistake this guy for Chris in some parts of the video! Hi everyone, I hope this is the place to ask the question (I may also ask The Oracle later), but what camera does Roadie use when shooting panorama pictures of audiences? I have thought he'd used a Nikon D80 with a special fish eye lens or a Hd Hero 2 camera with special settings.. thanks to everybody who might know the answer and sorry to bother you ;)
