Question Dear drinkers... A thought occurred to me today in that for the last 7 years of drinking alcohol I cannot remember the last time I drank for the love of drinking rather than the necessity of getting from sober to pissed. I'm don't think its just me either, I think its the lifestyle drinkers have become accustomed to - higher booze prices, costs of wear, tear and repairs to the liver, less hours in the day to drink for no reason, queue's at the off license etc etc. When was the last time you had a drink just because? Do you only drink because you need to? Has the enjoyment of drinking for drinking's sake gone? (sorry guys, had to make my first parody …

  7. Back in March 2001, a German man named Armin Meiwes posted an ad online requesting "a healthy and slender young man to be eaten". Several people responded to the ad including Bernd Jürgen Brandes, who voluntarily showed up at Meiwes' residence in Rotenburg to be killed and eaten. Meiwes amputated Brandes' penis in order to be cooked and eaten, which led to severe blood loss and death. Afterwards, Meiwes cut chunks of flesh from Brandes' corpse which he consumed for a period of over 10 months by storing the flesh in his freezer. Months later, a student nearby his neighborhood noticed the crime that Meiwes had done. The police searched his house and found a video of t…

Seeing as how there's no Coldplay news for a long time, and now the few interesting people in The Lounge have been banned, I guess there's nothing to do but sit back and be bored. No swearing, no bashing Mark or Ian, in fact, talking is only allowed if it's in whisper form. This forum will remain this way until Coldplay makes more announcements about LP5, then we are free to turn into fangirls. Fall in.

What's it good for? I mean, societally. I've heard the argument that without religion, we would have no morals -- I think that's crap. The fact that so many different societies with different religious beliefs individually come up with the same basic set of morals (rape = bad, murder = bad, etc) shows, to me, that the basis for human morals are biological. I honestly can't think of a good societal reason for religion to still exist. But I'm sure somebody else can! Discuss?

  13. So it's almost the birthday of two of my most wonderful friends Lore and Ren who were the bestest Mods ever. They are taking with a bit of a Sabatical right now but I just wanted to start a thread to take the time to remeber friends who are not here right now but wanted to show the love. Friends are FOREVER no matter how far we are away from them. There is no distance one can measure with friendship. you can be friends with someone around the corner but be no closer with someone that might be on the other side of the world. Thank you Ian and Jen for bringing us all together. Without Coldplaying.com I would have never met any of you. Many thanks So happy FANFUCKIN…

  18. I went to that party yesterday. I arrived there quite late so everyone was drunk already. I went on the dancefloor and suddenly there was this guy who started dancing with me. He did that several times and after a while it became clear that he wanted to kiss me. I said I don't want to, because I don't want to kiss any stranger esp. not when he is drunk, because he might not even remember my name the next day. But we stayed together all night long and he was begging me so much, so I said ok and just gave him a kiss which showed me that he actually wanted to make out with me. I said no again. He seemed to be quite disappointed. I told that I want to get to know him first an…

Okay, this is a serious thread. I came up with this idea on a cab, while I was running late for a meeting. One can formulate some questions, just as... What are your views on infidelity? Do you think there are major infidelities (i.e. hook up) and minor ones (kissing or flirting maybe?) Have you ever cheated on your partner? Have you ever been a victim of "cheating"? Would you forgive one or... have you already? Feel free to contribute as much as you want to this thread. :escaping2:
