Please post directly on there when it comes to discussing a specific track so that we can keep this main thread not too messy ? Excited to see what your thoughts are on all those songs!
July 26, 20215 yr I've been researching through some recent interviews and this one caught my attention. I had already watched it but something clicked when I read Chris's handwritten note with "Music of the Spheres (vol. i)" and the expression "it was is produced by Max Martin", so I went back to YouTube, looking for the interview. Maybe the second volume is going to be called Music of the Spheres as well (like the first four albums by Peter Gabriel). Moreover, they seem to be working on new music at the moment and this new music is probably not going to be included in the first volume as one of Coldplay's rules states: "Make sure videos and pictures are great before setting a release date" which likely applies to music as well, an album should be complete before setting a release date, track listing, etc... This is pure speculation, but I thought it could be useful to share it!

July 27, 20215 yr It's interesting that Humankind and Human Heart are both on an album that's set in another solar system. Makes me think the whole album is meant to be an allegory for the diversity and beauty of our own planet. Sometimes people on our own planet feel so far away, as if they do not live in our world, yet we are still one. And, as the great astrophysicist and astronomer Carl Sagan suggested, we are one with the stars as well, because we are made from them.

July 28, 20215 yr We asume it's a demo coming from the AHFOD era. It seems that it's just a proof of concept tho, maybe they made this demo just to see how it sounded, and Chris started mumbling over it, since he doesn't seem to be singing lol! Has a nice chord progression tho!

I love MOTS. I always tend to love the little ambient interludes, intros, outros, etc on Coldplay albums. But Higher Power... ehh. It's not one of the better opening songs. But then again, it may grow on me. Coloratura is a gorgeous closer, though. Currently my favorite of the bunch. It's like Muse's Exogenesis Symphony at the end of the Resistance album, which is super long but also beautiful.
