Virtual reality isn’t just about games. NextVR is releasing a Coldplay concert in VR using the Samsung Gear VR gadget to prove that. Laguna Beach, Calif.-based NextVR has created a way to capture and then deliver live concert performances using special cameras. For some reason, I get the idea that this could really be their last album. It started with how Ghost Stories kind of reminds me of the X&Y era. After all, the album seems to revolve around Chris's personal life and he's at the forefront; I wouldn't even think Will and Jonny were on this album if I didn't know better; the plastic, gross drum beats that ANYONE could have played and little solo at the end of True Love are the only real signs. With Chris Martin practically calling Coldplay's seventh studio album "A Head Full of Dreams" the band's final album -- for now, fans should prepare themselves for a hiatus following touring for this album. :( Coldplay has too much of a chemistry and a significance to stop making music until they're all too old to (Paul McCartney still does so Coldplay should have plenty of life.) Yet it seems that the band may be planning a break following the release of two albums in two years. How long of a break is speculatory. Let's just hope it's not a multi-year hiatus...
