I am debating on whether to get a PIT ticket, or an actual seat, lower level for a show. I really want a pit ticket, but I don't want to get there SUPER early and wait for hours on end. So anyone with experience with buying a pit ticket, how early did you guys arrive to be at the very front? I want to be up front, the very front...how early would I have to get there to achieve this?

i saw CP live in hartford, CT recently and i kinda liked the opening band, but they never even said their name. Anybody know???? they said they'd been touring with coldplay, so they've probably been at like every show.

so as we all know from twitter, the boys will be in ny for at least a week or maybe two while they tour the northeast. Does anyone have the scoop on and radio shows there doing or maybe even where ther're staying :stunned:.

Ok, shoot me now, but I'm not posting in the West Palm show list because I don't want to hear about the setlist. I'm scared to death it's going to be the same as the last leg and not include my favorites from X&Y. If it's the same, I might cry. Anyway, I would like to know how the PIT worked? I have PIT tickets for Atlanta tomorrow but won't be showing up until the gates open or even later. How screwed will I get with placement? Was it just a little section about 10 feet from the stage and 50 feet wide or did it run all the way to edges of the stage? Thank you.

very weird. i bought some. why would the closest seats just randomly show up when ive been searching for weeks now and can only get lawn?

Seems that a bunch of seats have been released for certain shows, within the past few days. For example, seats in 100 level for Camden and Charlotte. These tickets are WAY better than those released for the presales and initial general sales. I'm feeling the need to upgrade. Basically, I'm going to get screwed over, but after all, it's Coldplay. One scenario I thought of... Perhaps blocks of closer seats were held back initially as management did not give final arrangements to the venues regarding the catwalks, etc. That would impact on which front section seats could and could not be sold. Ahlan Live have heard a rumour that Coldplay are putting on a private performance at the Cartier Polo Challenge taking place at the Desert Palm Resort & Polo Club tomorrow. As a warm up for their concert the following night in Abu Dhabi, Chris Martin and the band are rumoured to be performing for the guests - including Italian star Monica Bellucci - who are attending the glamourous invitation-only event. I tried all day and kept getting the same seats. I called our ticketmaster number and talked to a live rep and she said the seats I was seeing on TM.com were the only seats left. Then just now I tried 3 more times and I got progressively better seats! I wound up buying 2 seats in Section 112 row 18 of the New Orleans Arena for only $97 each plus a nominal club lounge fee. These are great seats! So don't give up - keep trying gang. Good luck!

I've seen Coldplay live twice in the past year - last August in Washington and then a few months later in Miami area. I guess because of this I just figured their tour was over for the most part. Then last night I was at a basketball game in New Orleans and an advertisement for the upcoming Coldplay concert comes on the jumbotron during a timeout. I was stunned for the following reasons: A) New Orleans NEVER gets good concerts. The biggest concert we get is some crappy band like Nickelback or Kid Rock. Bleh. Allright well i decided to make another thread for this since i dont want it to take up space in Philly's thread. So it is confirmed that Coldplay will be coming back to North America somewhere soon after the Japan shows in February of 09. it was also said that they would be playing MULTIPLE nights at MSG.

This is personal (hopeful desperate lol) speculation: for you Montrealers here...with the boys announcing the Western Canada tour, and seeing as how much they claim they enjoy Montreal, I see no reason why they wouldn't announce a date after the Toronto one. Geographically, it makes sense, seeing after Toronto (atm) theyd be headed back down to the US, in WI, Carolina....I dunno, I personally still believe a show here will be announced between the 30th and August 3rd, it's inevitable. Thoughts? :)

Another full summer Coldplay US arena tour annoucement may be round the corner as Live Nation has listed a second US date at the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tennessee (screenshot taken in case it disappears!). This follows just hours after a new date in Birmingham, Alabama was confirmed.
