Post when you're sober and others aren't, when you're in an enforced period of sobriety (ie have given up, or for health reasons), or just discuss the positives and negatives of sobriety. I've pretty much given up alcohol this year. I was going to go the whole year without alcohol but that changed when my girlfriend didn't want to drink alone on her anniversary, so I had two small glasses of wine to celebrate, last month. That is my only alcohol intake this year so far. I also received a bottle of wine as a gift yesterday, and since my birthday is late this month I will have a glass of it then. OK, so I'm looking for things to buy people for Christmas. None of you guys, you get your goods from the 'Prince Myshkin Buys Your Love' thread. I figured we could have a thread to be filled with inspiration for more unusual or interesting gift ideas, given I'm bored of buying the same crap every year. Not that books are crap. But yeah. So if you know of any sites that specialise in such things (and aren't too novelty, in the sense that they will be used more than five times) then here's the place to post them.

Single or not?? I seem to of spent about half of my past 10 years in relationships, was with my last GF for 4 years and that was about a year and a half ago! I do like being single for now, the only thing i probably miss is going on weekends away to somewhere like London! oh and the constant supply of you know what.... :love:

If you are a Facebook addict, there is a simple and easy way to heal yourself. Just try not to check your account for one month. Whatever it would be, just don't check! It really helped me and now neither I'm interested in Facebook nor I want to check it regularly. :) It really bothers me now :dozey:

I'm going on a school trip to Berlin in March and the teachers gave us the freedom to propose things to visit/do. I've never been to Germany, so I don't know Berlin at all. Don't stick this in the tech thread because nobody goes in there enough. What wifi network names are there near you? I've heard they are being used as passive aggressive messages to neighbours, like 'your music is annoying', or being used for puns like 'pretty fly for a wifi'. Those local to me are lame and are all like BT Home Hub, etc, but there used to be one called 'fast internet my arse'.
