  1. Hey fellow Coldplayers. Even though I don't lurk around the Coldplaying forums as much as I should be, I just wanted to say that Coldplay were the band that inspired me to make music. I saw them live in Bangkok 2 weeks ago and it was the most incredible thing, I get goosebumps just thinking about the concert, and it felt so surreal at the time (it still does). It was incredibly emotional as I have (cheesy) loved the band for such a long time, and I have a special place in my heart for them. I remember when I was 10 listening to X&Y on the speakers in the living room for the first time (dad bought the CD) and the sounds I had heard were the best sounds I had ever hear…

  2. So, I have news. Three new various artists albums are coming down the drainpipe, one entitled Alternative Effects Box 2.0, one entitled Fragmented and of course the first of the AHFOD project albums, which will be a redo of LP7. But, since September last year, another reason I've been off these forums, delaying projects and overall not being active here is this: I'm working on a full-length indie film. Yeah. A film. ''New Line On The Horizon'' is an ongoing project, set to be released around 2019/2020. The story revolves around me and my rock band, but then evolves after the first half into a surprise, complex and different story than how it first began. It's a comb…

I was wondering what the name of the font Coldplay used for their logo from Parachutes up until VLV was. I've tried looking it up but it hasn't really given me any results. Anyone willing to help me out here?

So, I'm very curious as to what everyones age is. I am 42. I have loved Coldplay for years. My family thinks I'm too old to be so wrapped up with Coldplay. I love them, I listen to them everyday & no one is going to change that. What is your age?

I was a HUGE fan of Hypnofeed, as were so many others. I think of it every time I see a great, inspiring, funny or creative vid and I say "Damn, I wish I could submit that to Hyonofeed" And I miss it a lot. Imitation is the highest form of flattery, so they say. I wanted to create a thread where ppl could post interesting vids that they would love to share and have ppl to see. I have wanted to do this for a while. I wanted to start this with something that meant a lot to me. Last May, one of my friends and neighbors growing up lost his son. It was devastating and it affected me tremendously. His son, Brendan was about the same age as my son. I went to a con…

Maybe my luck is running out I see a storm brewin’ outside I am always running away Please sound the alarm I need to be calm God is always good Oh, one day, I’ll stand in His presence A storm is brewin’ outside Will I be ready that spectacular day? Your faith is stronger than mine Mine is a murky clay Yours is the sweetest of wine I clump together The grapes in yours taste better The storm reminds me I don’t have all the pieces as one I am an eternal being I always will be Sometimes I want to cave in Because of the way I have behaved I love being an eternal being But there is a storm brewin’ outsi…

I was browsing through youtube and found a song that claimed to be a new Coldplay song called "Believe" or "Believe in your dreams" but I listened to it and it clearly wasn't Coldplay. In fact it kind of sounded like Imagine Dragons but I couldn't find a song named that by them either. Apparently lots of people think it's a Coldplay song cause when I looked up the song I just found a bunch of videos called "Coldplay - Believe new song 2016" etc. So does anyone know what the song is actually called? its pretty good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=557fOHASJwA Mobile Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=557fOHASJwA I think it may be a remix or something circulating ar…

Can someone help me figure out a reasonably easy and effective way to do this? I've tried using audacity but I'm pretty shit at it. I need it to be fairly free of noise because I'm using it for a university project.

We all live busy lives Trying to maintain our jobs and houses And stay connected to friends, family, and spouses I peer into this night sky in this lit plaza I can’t even see the stars with all this light pollution Is progress really the solution? It is a man-made idealism But we hold it true as realism I am riding a train going somewhere Reading Scripture It says, “Wait on the Lord” I choose movement over patience It’s like leaving my suitcase at home while on board We’ve got a destination but no tools to help us How do I rely on an invisible being of light? How do I give my problems to one who has it all? I know He understands but I am embarrassed e…

I wondered if there are any sports you like/do/once did? What do you like about it? Do you maybe even have any achievements, cups or something like that? Or do you prefer watching sports on TV? I totally suck at any ball or team sports, but I really like running, HIIT, dancing, bodyweight exercises, Pilates, Yoga, etc cause it makes me feel super energized and happy. [emoji1] How about you?

The year is 2035 Yeah, it’s an interesting time to be alive I am on the highway The Uber self-driving car got in my lane I almost got badly hurt I am taking this to court Filing lawsuit The law said it was my fault Even though, the car went into my lane But what they won’t tell you is, It was 5% system failure fluke When you are born They implant a chip on you They say it helps to keep birth records and eventually keep revenue There are robots, machines and drones everywhere They used to create a great big scare Now they are the norm They help us weather life’s storm They even become friends with the dogs and o…

Here is a poem I just wrote. Please enjoy! What a spectacular view from Your eyes, Lord It’s a magnificent day Children are eating ice cream like it’s a heavenly treat Lovers are jumping off a driving board Into a pool of trust and affinity When used correctly Free will can be so sweet The fireflies are whirling around They are penetrating the sky like a light show They are buzzing like they are exactly where they want to be Children and lovers are ready for the showdown If we are made for this; it must be this unmistakable That this love is elastic and unshakable Children and lovers lift up your hands and make your plea …

  19. What are your favourite things about life? They can be big or small. I like: Coldplay (obviously!), being tucked up indoors on rainy days, hearing my favourite songs on the radio or in shops, seeing other people happy, getting lost in a book, managing to buy concert tickets before they sell out, getting a good deal on train tickets, random days away-like the beach trip I'm going on soon, finding things I forget I bought, like items of clothing I haven't worn in so long, seeing people after a long time, rainbows, beautiful scenery, smiles from strangers, coming across music I once loved that I forgot even existed, when I get to the till and my shopping is cheaper than …

I listened to Viva today after a very long time, and it blew my hair back. It was like getting re-acquainted with an old friend, and I wasted the entire afternoon listening to it over and over while singing, dancing, and playing air instruments all over the house. It made a very rainy, dreary day feel like it was worth getting out of bed instead of burrowing into the comforter and hibernating all day. I started wondering, then, if other fans have had this same experience with listening to an album that they haven't heard for a long time. So spill the beans...which album; how did it feel to listen to it again? What did you use as an air microphone? Which band member do you…

I've never been to any concert when I was through the teenager period. But this time, I couldn't help myself but buy a ticket because !!! Coldplay is coming to Brisbane!?? It's such a miracle that I can actually get to hear their music in live. Thing is, I am newbie to Queensland (Australia) and have no success to make any friends yet. I am so scared to go all by myself ;-( Especially when I am in line, waiting for the gate to open - that is the time, I'll be soooooooooooo lonely. Anyone? Similar experience?

Hi everyone! I've noticed that a few other message boards have threads like this one so I figured I'd create once here as well. Ok, there's already a thread for this: https://coldplaying.com/forum/index.php?threads/confessions-thread-1-0.12094/page-73 but it hasn't been touched in 8 years. :P So mods, feel free to merge this thread with that one if you so desire, but for now I just want to start over. Anyways... the point of this thread is similar to the Don't Let It Break Your Heart! thread. This is a safe place for you to just let things off your chest, no matter how silly or trivial they may be. Just make sure they are safe to discuss according to the forum rules. S…
