From what I've seen, it looks like there's a consensus regarding that Coldplay's bonus tracks/b-sides are the best things they know to do. Who else thinks that they are probably the best songs from this era? Who's on board?!

Well Guy is an amazing bass player. He's always been a bit in the background but he's made some amazing basslines throughout the years. On Mylo Xyloto I had the feeling he had been forgotten a little (some expections ofcourse, Paradise/MM) But now on Ghost Stories he's totally back! Each song has his amazing bass and a lot of songs are even bass driven. Magic/True Love/Midnight/AIMH. Guy even does some ''solo'' parts again (ASFOS, All Your Friends, O(Don't ever let go) So I'm just really happy he's back! :D

I figure by now someone has ahold of a copy, and if you're willing I'd quite like for you to do a little test for me. There are a couple of FLAC versions of the album hovering around, and it looks like the CD has been partially mastered in MPEG for some horrific reason. Some tracks come up as CDDA, some as MPEG. If possible, could someone who has the CD run Audiochecker using the source "Tracks from Audio CD" with the actual CD in the drive, and then pastebin me the log? Maybe I've missed something, but I can't seem to find a thread for members to post about their first thoughts after listening to the whole album, in its entirety. Or, it could be because I'm in Australia so we got an earlier release date for the album? Not sure? Anyway I thought I would write up what I thought after listening to it. I had pretty high expectations for this album, after hearing "Magic" and "Midnight" - both of which I thought were exceptional. First impressions.... beautiful, soft, relaxed, enticing dark, edgy, haunting, true, forthcoming, honest, heartbreaking, open, sad, happy, enduring... GS has this almost pain-like quality, but yet it is so peace…

Am I the only one who hears that?! I think that intro/outro is my favorite part of the album.
