So many people hating on A sky full of stars. Goodness, you parachute loving scrubs i mean their whole album is slow and nice. so what, this song is "pop" thats what a lot of ppl like. you parachutes lovers, you have yur songs, and ppl who like some good pop now and then have this.. respect that... and this song is perfectly good, its not like stupid "SO WAKE ME UP CUZ IM DUMB" and that crap it still has the coldplay feel to it yet its their only upbeat song. geez relax its a perfectly good song listen to it and appreciate the melody. if you hate it then go listen to their other songs in the album... jeez at least me and a lot of other ppl like this.

I would like to know why we've reached some point in which the songs that are called singles are not sold as "real singles" anymore on iTunes(and by real singles I mean this = ) I really like having a lot of single's covers on my iTunes and it is really strange that singles come like "08 - A Sky Full of Stars" nowadays, with it's album cover...

So I was thinking… Another’s Arms has that haunting female voice pop in and out. Oddly, its not much of a duet, but more of a vocal effect. On the Zane Lowe preview clip, we hear the studio version of Always in My Head, which also has ethereal “voices” sliding around in the background. Lastly, Midnight—among others—carries on the choral vibe with a slew of Chris’ harmonies batched together. Do any of you guys think that these vocal effects are alluding to different “Ghosts” or souls? And I’m not suggesting that it goes any deeper than that. Perhaps the sounds are just there to resemble different people, and how their essence lingers on. Even months or years …

Over the past 2 years, There has been a number of very significant bands to climb up the charts. For example Arctic Monkeys had monumental success with "AM" last year and Vampire Weekend had the album of their careers. Seeing "Magic" get released with much uncertainty has brought the question , are they slipping from their highest of heights?

An enthusiastic fan has decided to host his own lyrics hunt with a Coldplay prize for whoever finds it! Sensing a fair deal of scepticism on CPing today, let's talk about why we're looking forward to GS instead. Here are my reasons: - It seems more chill, more intimate. That's a sound that suites CM's voice. I think Oceans really proves that less is more. - The artwork. It looks amazing! I loved the idea behind MX's art but I think this just looks more neat, and goes so well with the theme. - It's obviously a very personal album for Chris Martin, and to me that just means the songwriting is better. My opinion of course.

Just wanted to share the underwater visuals that are seen on the trailer and know your thoughts about them and what they signify. I guess that is what they were recording in the pool the other day, the first picture with the "Coldplay • Ghost Stories: Coming soon" caption looks like Chris, but I've got no idea who the girl might be. I would just like to know the exact techniques of songwriting chris explained in the interview because i didn't quite understand, especially the 11pm bit :(

[video=youtube;EEt9tYdUqkY] so, as it can be seen in the 3rd part of BBC's Interview by Zane Lowe with Chris Martin (at around 03:23), Ghost Stories seems to run under the nick name / working title "Project Odysseus". and somebody that's already heard the album has confirmed that Project Odysseus has been used as some kind of nick name instead of using "coldplay" in order to maintain a higher level of security in terms of leaks and so on. and apparently the whole album is already available for press people for listening on cright.com ;) wondering how excited the coldplay management / label is about bbc accidentially revealing those kinds of "secrets" xD :D

No hate pls but I think coldplay might be ripping us off with new album. here are some reason (some opinion based): 1) 9 songs only. Parachutes was the lowest that had AT LEAST 10. X&Y had a whopping 14. 2) No song following the album name. Every album, "Parachutes" "X&Y" "A Rush of blood to the head" "Mylo Xyloto" "Viva La Vida (and death and all his friends)" Then KABOOM haha no "Ghost Story" song! Ok, sure, they have this "target special" version of the album that had "Ghost Story" but I want it part of the album for normal people to listen to! Why don't they screw this "exclusive album target thing" and then make All your friends and ghost story …

With Midnight released today on the 21st April, it has been given as an instant grat track for those who have pre-ordered the album on ITunes and made available to anyone who wants to buy it separately but considering most fans have listened to it many times, they released a remix (a very good one at that!) to go with it and keep it fresh for fans and that has quenched my thirst anyway until the live shows in Germany at the end of the week! The release of Midnight has really made an impact in the charts, with Midnight charting at #1 on the ITunes live charts in over 53 different countries now. I have some very high expectations for this upcoming album!! I just can't see Coldplay disappointing! I personally think that they're first 4 albums were masterpieces, Mylo was really good but it wasn't quite on par with the others for me. It's going to be tough for GS to match the others but I think it has a shot! But if I'm honest, I'll be pleased if it can be as good as MX! + I'm really glad the boys are back!

We could be listening to new tracks off “Ghost Stories” as soon as Friday & German Coldplayers snap up tickets in record time!- Coldplaying.com What does everyone think? I think there is a very good chance of hearing A Sky Full of Stars at least on Friday at Cologne or at least the secret show on Saturday in Baden Baden which is also live on German radio :)

I actually believe it may go on to be one of, if not their best selling album to date-- I have seen a remarkable (and surprising) demand from other people my age (in high school) who have really taken to both Magic and Midnight. I feel like this album will be a critical success-- one that will draw in more fans who were critical of the band in the past and will make this (despite it's low key marketing) one of their best selling albums!

Now the title sounds cringy, but hear me out. When someone thinks of the Coldplay sound, and I'm not talking about the supposed "haters" who say Coldplay has no sound or its way too mellow or whatever, what are they talking about? We all know Coldplay isn't the most original band ever, and that's fine, no band is ever truly original imo. But what is Coldplay's trademark sound? The thing is that Coldplay changes its sound so much, that its hard to pick the common multiple of every album. I think we can all agree though, if one thinks about it enough, the trademark sound isn't a sound at all. It is the accessibility of the sound that makes Coldplay, Coldplay and not Rad…

Why have they gone from no announcements to album, no less than 4 live appearances, a few gigs, a documentary on Ghost Stories and 2 single releases, in less than 2 months? No build up at all, it's as if they were forced to release fast :(
