During the Dallas show on August 27th Chris Martin had a special request for all the attendees. August 28th was Phil's 40th birthday so he requested everyone join the band in singing him happy birthday. During the C-stage performance Chris informed everyone that he would stop a Sky Full of Stars to bring Phil out onto the stage. Then he taught everyone how to "do the Phil". Doing the Phil is basically poking fun at how Phil constantly is tending to his beautiful hair. For what that audience request song-thing, if they play nearly the same (with just a few exceptions ) all over again ?! Are they just too lazy to rehears something else? You could put it down to these songs : -In my Place -Trouble -See you soon Those can be expected in nearly every gig, but I highly doubt others arent requested. Hi dear coldplaying family, I made so many efforts to make Coldplay aware of my #AHFODproject and look what happened: 1. I went all the way to Gelsenkirchen 1st of June just for standing many hours at the backstage gate and fortunately some wonderful tourangels brought my presentation folders backstage to the band 2. a lovely and incredible supporting fan from this platform brought my project concept to Coldplays letterbox in London 3. What's your favorite song (released or unreleased) that was soundchecked/performed live? For me it'd be either A Whisper (WAIT! Don't hate on me just yet), DLIBYH, or Daylight. A Whisper has only been performed twice since being released, once in 2002 in Seattle and the other in 2014 at the Royal Albert Hall (I think). I personally despise the song, seems a bit too repetitive and would've done better as a b-side, but it sounds pretty good live, especially Jonny's guitar. If you've listened to Chris and Jonny's interview with Jo Wiley, you would of heard Chris talk about letting fans suggest tracks for the AHFOD tour. Someone from Bolton requesting Spies because their dad was a spy (example Chris actually said :p) Now, as we are all fans with different opinions, if we were all given a choice, we'd probably come up with at least 20 different songs between us.
