This site does a fantastic job in reporting on and discussing Coldplay news. I feel more division in this community forming since Mylo Xyloto. (New Coldplay vs "Oldplay"). I think, as a fan site/forum, we ought to talk about why we are fans, not what's wrong with someone else being one. Arguments like "you can't be a fan if you don't like their new/old material/a particular album" come to mind. I don't know if this is entirely worth a new thread but I'm fairly new on here so if I'm breaking a rule feel free to remove this. Now with that being said an interesting thought that came to my mind... I'm also a huge U2 fan as well and it's known that U2 has had a profound influence on Coldplay as a band. Especially how Johnny models some of his playing like the edge in the use of delay and what not. So recently there's been lots of funky stuff going on in the AHFOD-world... Personally I think it's cool, but to be frank, I'm a little afraid that it's going to be a re-hash of everything I disliked about ASFOS. They said that the record will be pop... I could be wrong though, maybe we're all in for a Mylo Xyloto Part II! Thoughts?

Curious as to what people think about the idea of crowdsourcing songs. I doubt that the band would ever consider it, but I think letting fans vote to decide (say, a festival) setlist would be a really interesting, democratic idea.

Yes, I was in the AHFOD discussion as it happened! Coldplay soundchecked a new song from the album! (we are almost totally sure about it) Now. Here's my own crafted theory... Will this "new song" be the album opener? It's been stated that AHFOD will be the day to the night of GS! Maybe this will be the optimistic version of Always In My Head!!! Let me know.

Coldplay France just posted on their Twitter account, confirming their message from Phil Harvey which tells them that Coldplay will be visiting France by the end of the year. A European tour at the end of the year looks very likely :)

Alright, I'm back! With AHFOD getting closer and closer, I felt it was time for another top 6! This time I'm focusing on albums. We're going from "weakest" to "best". MAKE SURE TO EXPLAIN WHY. I'll start. 6. X&Y (not all tracks are that great IMO, the B-sides all rock though. Especially Gravity and TIDU) 5. Parachutes (good, but doesn't give as much eargasms as the others) 4.
