This may seem insignificant to some, but I need to know if there are other people out there who are as excited as I am at hearing studio noises in this album. The pedal changes in "Violet Hill" and the little yelps from Chris in "42" and the shifting in "Strawberry Swing". It adds so much for something that many people don't even acknowledge. Perhaps is the fact that X&Y had none and that's why I'm so stupidly giddy at finding them in this album. Anyone else feel the same?

Not sure what to make of the authenticity or timing of this article, but I've not seen it posted before... Coldplay exerpt below... ------------------- The transcript of an interview with Brian Eno conducted by a German radio station has been issued by his press people. The interview concerns the making of Eno’s new album, Small Craft On A Milk Sea, his decision to sign with Warp Records, and his ongoing interest in minimalism, among other things. About the creative process for this new album: "The nice thing about working with a group of people is that, they do things that you wouldn’t do. They don’t have the same taste as you for a start so you, you e…

Coldplay 'most sleep-inducing' band Coldplay is the music act most likely to make us drift off to sleep, according to a new survey. Coldplay is the music act most likely to make us drift off to sleep, according to a new survey. Michael Buble, the Canadian singer, was voted second and Snow Patrol came third on the list of what music people listen to to help them sleep. Some 84 per cent of people listen to music in bed to set them up for a good night's sleep according to the survey conducted by Travelodge. What songs do you feel Coldplay should or should have covered? My suggestion to them would be to do a cover of The Kinks's Lola. I think it would sound brilliant with Chris's vocals and all round would really work. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVXmMMSo47s]YouTube - "Lola"- The Kinks[/ame] Suggestions please!

Did anyone else catch this? The idea Chris expressed of Wedding Bells being the beginning of a story, in album form. I'm absolutely geeking out right now because a story album would be the coolest thing to me. And if this is the case, with or without Wedding Bells, I'd be ecstatic. I'm wondering if anyone else would be into this? Or perhaps people didn't even think it was much of a statement to hang on. I don't know. Also, I'm really amazed Wedding Bells has found it's way this far into the future. Not because it's quality, but I guess I didn't think it'd make it this far. Silly me

IF you are a close pal of CHRIS MARTIN brace yourself for disappointment when you open your pressies tomorrow. The COLDPLAY frontman – worth £30million – has done his Christmas shopping in the household appliance section of John Lewis. But don’t expect a plush cappuccino machine, or hair straighteners if you’re a female pal – he left with three Henry vacuum cleaners. To quote LIAM GALLAGHER – what a “plant pot”. Explaining his buys as he left the homeware section of the department store on London’s Oxford Street on Friday, Chris said: “Some of them are gifts and one’s for me. “I love to do the housework. I don’t really see the point of getting someone …

As a compliment to his recently released Invasion Radio 2K10 Mixtape, DJ Green Lantern unearthed an old Jay-Z song featuring Chris Martin. Originally, the lyrics heard from Jay were featured on the Funkmaster Flex show a while back. But as Miss Info reports, Green Lantern had the acapella's of Jay's verse since 2006. The lyrics just needed a beat, which were attempted by the likes of Timbaland and Just Blaze and even Lantern himself. The end result was heard on Funkmaster Flex's show and Coldplay's "Lost (remix)". The track was also a by product of the same session Martin and Jay-Z recorded "Beach Chair", their collaborative track featured on Jay-Z's Kingdom …
