Fancy putting your hand to writing a review of Coldplay/Coldplaying in a specific month of 2010? Just some of the things that happened this year: Coldplayers spend £70,000 on clearout auction items Hope for Haiti Latin America tour... Spanish Rain... Wedding Bells... Guy Berryman's art project... 'Roadie: My Life on the Road with Coldplay'... Apparatjik... 10th anniversary of Parachutes... Roadie #43 & #44 during #42's AWOL... Digital Music Awards 2010... LP5 updates... Bakery & Beehive meetings... Christmas Lights... Crisis gigs... The 12 days of Coldplay/Coldplaying Christmas went well last year so if there was enough interest in it this time…

Dear Coldplaying First of all, the band and I would like to say a HUGE thanks to all of you who came along to the boat trip / video shoot last night. You did an amazing job in extremely cold conditions. It looked absolutely beautiful from the bank - we can't wait to see how it looks in the finished video (which you should be able to see on Wednesday night). And your singing was my personal highlight from the whole night. Apologies that we weren't able to do the Q&As with myself, Miller and Matt. All three of us were genuinely due to come along - we'd been preparing and we booked the PA which I hear you ended up using for karaoke! - but it then transpired that th…

I love Coldplay so much , I actually dont know how to eloquently put it into words. Their music is so important to my life, and I feel like I am a part of a special and exclusive club, being a member of Coldplaying. So anyway, I was truly heartbroken that in the end I could not make the boat trip after winning a space. I got sick and then it was all too hard...I had to cancel my flights. I wrote a letter to Chris, telling him how important he and the band are to my life, and what their music means to me. Just in case, I provided my address......:sneaky::wink3: So about an hour before I left work, I got this really WEIRD feeling that there was something from them at…

Last.fm trends: Coldplay amass almost 200m scrobbles, X&Y most popular album Reading through the latest articles on Coldplay's concept album news, we've come across an interesting set of stats based on Coldplay's Last.fm trends, courtesy of KROQ. The band have amassed almost 200m scrobbles since Parachutes. With just four albums the band have still managed to rack up an enormous 174,927,900 scrobbles spread across 3,272,423 listeners (that’s an average of 53 scrobbles per listener). 2005's X&Y has proved to be their most popular album to date, taking in 31,055,432 scrobbles, narrowly piping 2002′s sophomore album A Rush of Blood to the Head which has 30,360…

Don't get my wrong Coldplay is one of my favorite bands. I live and die Coldplay, lol. But, my question of concern is how long are they going to be remembered. I understand that they are often on the top ten music list, but what does that really mean in the long run? Will we actually remember Coldplay 25 years down the line, or are they solely a band that is in its prime right now.

If at least all of us on the boat - 100 of us - not mention other Coldplayers use the social media sites like Facebook, Twitter etc, we could get some momentum to get this song number 1. Two things : 1. We all need to buy this track from Sunday 12th December to Saturday 18th December to make it count for Christmas no 1 sales. Buying it now does NOT help! 2. Not everyone likes COldplay (I know wierd people with bad taste :) ). So be careful who you target, no Coldplay-haters pls.

Obviously, all of us here love Coldplay. To us, they are the greatest band in history. We could go on and on talking about our favorite Coldplay songs, which makes one particular question very difficult to answer: which song is Coldplay's best? To answer that question, I've created a competition to determine which song is the best of them all. Over the next five weeks, 61 of Coldplay's songs will battle it out in a qualifying round (AKA pool play), and 32 of those songs will advance to a single-elimination tournament. In pool play, the songs will be divided into six pools (one for each album, one for Prospekt's March, and one for eight songs that were never on an album), …

I know it's way too soon... but I thought we could organize an LP5 listening party once it is released with some program and stuff... for folks in central Europe (or even further if you are willing to travel). It could possibly be in Vienna, Brno, Prague or Bratislava... that would depend on your choice... The thing is, how many of you would possibly be interested?

So there's this picture in the tour program: Are these lyrics to a song we didn't hear from or what? To me they look like: On my body and you left me this hunger and.... .... Still I love you so much that it hurts By the millions of stars over the ocean by the waters .... So much that it hurts

Just thought i would share this story (still can't get over how down to earth the band are) Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining (has a title and everything, oh and its long, sorry) A few months ago we were asked to perform in Russia which we were over the moon to do, but then we had the news from our agent it had been cancelled, Gutted. 2 weeks ago we received an email to say Russia is back on but this gave us a problem of getting the visas in time, so i decided to go to london Monday 6th Dec to get the visas, it took me around 5hrs 30mins to get there due to weather and bad traffic. I arrived at the Visa place only to be told the applications were not correct and h…

No, this is not a combination of Radiohead and Coldplay but rather a discussion of Coldplay on the airwaves, on the radio. I'm curious to see what certain songs are still played where in the world, and what songs got left behind. I want to know if different parts of the world play a certain Coldplay song more than other parts. Anyway I'll start. Songs I have heard at least once on the radio (I live in Ohio) Yellow Trouble Politik Clocks The Scientist Speed Of Sound Talk Violet Hill Viva La Vida Strawberry Swing Life in Technicolor II There are a number of singles that I have never heard on the radio, albeit some of them before my time as a Coldp…

asis star Liam Gallagher has attacked his brother Noel and Coldplay's Chris Martin for persistently whining about their struggles as famous song-writers. Liam is furious Noel delayed their world tour by perfecting their latest album, Don't Believe The Truth. And he advises his sibling and Coldplay - whose album X&Y was also delayed by writing difficulties - to spend less time complaining and more time writing if they want to meet their deadlines. When asked what Noel and Martin talk about, Liam sneered, "The struggles of being a writer in a big band. The struggles they had. It's bullshit. It's fucking easy. Get into the studio and fucking work, and if it don'…

Hey Everybody, I wanted to do something where I showed my love for Coldplay and started throwing songs into parts of "Christmas Lights" check it out at: youtube.com/bmartinsounds I'm sure you can name all 10 Coldplay songs if you check my yt page, but try to guess all without looking. It's more fun that way! I also have some other Coldplay covers on my page (including a Strawberry Swing cover where I loop the beat and riff on a loop station...) anyway, please enjoy and leave me comments to tell me what you think. I do it for the Coldplay love. Without them, I don't know if I would've ever stepped into music. bmartinsounds
