Imagine you had the ability to create your very own Festival. Who would play? What stages would there be? It's your festival, and your acts. You Decide. The only challenge is that there must not be more than 9 acts on each stage, and there must only be 6 stages or less. Good luck;)

Any fans of PVRIS out there? (or even knows of them) They're not too close to Coldplay in terms of genre or popularity, but I still think they're pretty good! [video=youtube;8aQz-aKvyQU] [video=youtube;i1y0y1EDcHM] Cheers!

  5. This game is simple. Like the other elimination games choose the song you would like to take off the list by taking a point off it. Also add a point to the song you want to keep on the list. Keep voting until one song remains victorious! Here are the contenders: Clocks- Coldplay 10 Paranoid Android- Radiohead 10 Citizen Erased- Muse 10 Do I Wanna Know- Arctic Monkeys 10 Take Me Out- Franz Ferdinand 10 Have A Nice Day- Stereophonics 10 Pride (In The Name Of Love) - U2 10 Money- Pink Floyd 10 Only Love- Mumford & Sons 10 Hitchin A Ride- Green Day 10 Dog Days Are Over- Florence & The Machine 10 Heart-Shaped Box- Nirvana 10 Centuries- Fall Out Boy 10…

I can't believe there's no thread for him. Haha. Anyway, if you've never heard of Jon Hopkins before, there's a pretty high chance you've heard a sample of one of his tracks in a Coldplay song (Namely, Life In Techicolor/ Life In Technicolor II) He does ambient music that's pretty cool.. You can check him out at his myspace: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=26521034 Does anyone on this board like his music too?

Its just a demo for now, but I think Coldplay fans will enjoy it! https://soundcloud.com/andy-studer/a-compromise-demo If you're into that, take a listen to my other tracks! I just released an EP called "From This Day Forward" in September. Coldplaying has always been super accepting of my music, thank you for your continued support! - Andy

I've bought 2 tickets for manchester but none of my friends either know them or want to go :( I want to sell one ticket, at as close to cost as possible (22.50). I'd have to meet you there, as they're named tickets. Pleaaaase someone take it off my hands, it'd be such a waste! Now 2 available :(

  9. Oh my god, I've found a playlist that might work. Try listening to this with crossfades (or without) and this could work as an electronica and rock- based- night album. Section 1: Nightlights 1. Everything In Its Right Place- Radiohead 2. Where Is My Boy?- Faultline 3. Collider- Jon Hopkins (crossfade into Midnight) 4. Midnight- Coldplay 5. Apple Orchard- Beach House (crossfade into Bliss) 6. Bliss- Muse (crossfade into Bloom) 7. Bloom- Radiohead (opening line sounds like Bliss piano reversed, quite cool;)) 8. Codex- Radiohead Section 2: Exploration 9. Life- Solar Fields 10. Ink- Coldplay 11. Breathe This Air- Jon Hopkins 12. Spies- Coldplay 13. Col…

I made this thread cos I want to spread the love for Kodaline. It's such an awesome new band and their first Album is due in March. They've often been compared with Coldplay. I think they're really worth a listen!:) For Kodaline, music isn’t just music. “It’s therapy,” says singer Steve Garrigan. Teaching each other the principles of songcraft, the music they came up with – some of which can be found on their self titled EP (released in Ireland on Friday 7th September) – isn’t wan or introspective or self-serving. Instead, it’s bold, epic and stirring. Currently maintaining an air of understated mystery (their Facebook bio used to state, merely, “we’re four l…

One of the hardest things I remember having to tell myself early on into becoming a Radiohead fan was that, as a whole, Radiohead is a much more talented band than Coldplay is. I didn't want to accept it for the longest time, but it's simply the truth. Like you said, either of them could go solo and have it be critically acclaimed. Radiohead is a one-of-a-kind band, and while I admire every album of theirs (The Bends is better than Kid A), it just comes down to what I like more, you know? Coldplay will forever be my favorite band, but I recognize their faults. Just like I recognize Radiohead's faults. I love what both have done for the music world. The only reason I e…

New details of the bust-up between Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke and ageing Sex Pistols singer John Lydon emerged today as the Foals' tour manager revealed that three members of the Oxford band suffered injuries during last weekend’s fight. Foals tour manager Nick Jenkin today called Lydon’s description of the event at Barcelona’s Summercase Festival “totally untrue,” and said he watched Okereke being punched by the Sex Pistols’ entourage while the band’s frontman, known as Johnny Rotten, taunted the Kaiser Chiefs’ Ricky Wilson, after he went to the aid of the Bloc Party singer. Jenkin also told Times Online that Foals frontman Yannis Philippakis tried to help …

  16. Talk about Keane here everybody. I'll start the discussion by saying: My favorites from each album: Your Eyes Open, Leaving So Soon, Spiralling, Stop For A Minute (yea, if Tim says Night Train EP is pretty much an album, then it's an album), Sovereign Light Cafe, and Higher Than The Sun. Anybody want to chime in on whether they think they'll reunite?

Does anyone listen to his music? I'm currently addicted to all of his songs from his debut album 'In The Lonely Hour'. I'm Not The Only One and Stay With Me are my current mood songs right now :wacky: And his voice is just beyond flawless and his lyrics are so deep in my opinion, or maybe I'm just really in the mood listening to his songs lately :P

  20. Hello everyone! While waiting for AHFOD to come out, if you have some free time on your hands, could you please listen to some of my work and let me know what you think? I'm planning to make this playlist a demo reel for my work, and before I send it out, I would like some feedback about it - whether some tracks aren't good or if they don't fit, etc. It's mostly instrumental stuff and it isn't great, so don't go hoping for something nice; but I'm just trying to find a few ways to make it into the music industry here. Here's to hoping you don't claw your ears out! Thanks! Suhit.

Hey everybody. I've been meaning to cover a couple of Keane songs, and one of my favorites is Your Eyes Open. Tom Chaplin sings beautifully on this song, but I find it even more beautiful when it's played with a piano only. So I hooked up my MIDI controller and recorded a cover of this song. Enjoy at and you'll find it on my page.
