Their last four studio albums are reissued in remastered version with bonus tracks. They are available at amazon.co.uk. "Peepshow" (1988) is an album with a rich palette of sounds including cello, harmonica and accordeon. It had a five star review in Q magazine and was also praised in Spin magazine. Peepshow has also been cited by the singers of Arcade Fire, Decemberists and Bloc Party. "The Rapture" (1995) is their last album that captured the band almost live. It includes a great swansong "Forever". "Superstition" (1991) is their poppiest album with their classic single "Kiss them for me" and the moving ballad "The Ghost in You". It featured Talvin Singh on p…

Crazy. At the new iPhone6 press conference, U2 announced that they are giving away their album for free to iTunes customers which is basically everyone (over 500m people as Apple say) until October! Mass amount of people trying to download the album at the same time. Captain Crieff posted a link which is below. My other favourite artist other than Coldplay is Alexi Murdoch. Don't know if anybody has heard of him. He's currently an independant artist at the moment (British currently living in LA). He's such an amazing song writer. I can connect to every one of his songs :) and such a beautiful voice. Go here to hear bits of his stuff from his Four Song EP that's currently released. An album is coming out in February. http://cdbaby.com/cd/aleximurdoch Listen to the some of the clips on the left hand side and let me know what you think :)

I thougth it was weird that we didn't have a Pendulum thread after all this time, so I decided to open one (even though they're on hiatus at the moment). Meanwhile, Rob Swire and Garreth McGrillen are relasing a new EP with their project Knife Party. I know most people here hate the kind of music, but I think they're still worth a listen.

Liam Gallagher: Beady Eye will be bigger than Oasis But singer believes Noel Gallagher will 'come crawling back soon' Liam Gallagher believes his new band Beady Eye will be bigger than Oasis. The singer told the Sunday Times his music has "never sounded better" and plans to have a single out before the end of the year, with an album to follow in summer 2011. He claimed Beady Eye - which features former Oasis men Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock - have finished three-quarters of the album, with each member contributing four songs. Gallagher said the band will have a Beatles-esque sound "similar" to Oasis, with other influences including T-Rex and Je…

From Los Angeles, California http://www.fosterthepeople.com/ Torches, the highly anticipated debut album by Foster The People, is the soundtrack for an eternal summer. Produced by Paul Epworth (Adele + Florence and the Machine), Rich Costey (Muse + Interpol), and Greg Kurstin (Beck + Red Hot Chili Peppers), Torches delivers on both the promise of their breakthrough chart-topping single Pumped Up Kicks and the promise of this young band out of Los Angeles. "We just want people to feel better about their lives." The sound is universally uplifting combining influences from alternative's greats mixed with songs that make you dance. "Accessible yet challenging, gleamin…

Foje was Lithuania's best music band which broke up in 1997. After this Foje's frontman Andrius Mamontovas began his solo career. Andrius Mamontovas with bandmates made some concerts this year for their 30th anniversary. I was in one concert in Vilnius yesterday. :p Does anybody knows this band or maybe was in Foje or Andrius Mamontovas concert? If not, I reccomend you to listen some their songs. : ) Foje - Kitoks pasaulis (Different world) [video=youtube;c9MgHcV6aBI] Foje - Meilės nebus per daug (There won't be too much love) [video=youtube;PofSYasg9gI]

Stumbled upon HuffingtonPost today and read this article: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/08/28/songs-you-need-to-know-brolly_n_5729550.html The very first song I listened to I just fell in love  The music maybe a bit similar to Coldplay (Well not so much, but still accepted as being called 'ambient indie' genre). If you would like to discover more ambient Coldplayish music, check this out:

Has anyone heard of him? I found out about him a little while ago and have been slightly obsessed with his album Bulletproof Weeks. I like his sound, it has a kinda Parachutes-y, guitar-centric, acoustic feel. If you haven't heard him but you like what I described, check him out! :)
