Has anyone noticed Will's tremendous drumming on this album? There are some compression issues limiting the dynamics somewhat, but his fingerprints are all over this album, often leading the way and breathing life into the songs. Each and every song has its unique percussive sound (and beat), and quite a few often have at least two or three... As a piano player who also learned some general percussion in school, to me, his percussive work has always struck me as very musical / atypical for a rock drummer - he really looks to be expressive with his drumming and convey texture and colour rather than just hold down an interesting rhythm / driving beat... Hello everyone, I wasn't sure where to post this so feel free to move it mods. I just wanted to share an afghan (blanket) my aunt made for me. She does crochet in her free time and made one for each of my brothers as well as me. We each got to choose the design that we wanted, so naturally I went with the Flower of Life from the AHFOD cover. Now it looks a bit stretched and as if it doesn't have the right proportions, but it's just the way it's laid out. Also, the colors are as close as possible, though I know they are not exact. I find this album to be the band's most uninteresting album yet...there I said it. Everyone has one they don't LOVE, surely. This one just happens to be it and trust me, I love all of the others from Parachutes to Ghost Stories. And I do like a few songs on this one, just not the whole thing overall. The question is - if you are like me and don't like the album as a whole, will you still see the AHFOD world tour? I will for sure see it, and probably see multiple shows. so.. idk if this has been done yet but as an aspiring singer (ha-ha I try) I find that Chris Martin vocal technique and style changes alot per era and is hard to match and cover. so without further adeu, lets rate this eras vocals per song. from 1-10 .
