2. Started by Little Miss Coldplay,

Hi, I pre-ordered the album on Amazon a few weeks ago but it didn't arrive yesterday like I thought it would. I'm so disappointed! Apparently it'll arrive on Tuesday but that's not good enough. I know it sounds ridiculous but I just feel deflated because of this. When I pre-ordered Ghost Stories it arrived on the release date. Is anyone else in a similar situation? x

You can name the ones you think will be released as singles or the ones you would like to be singles. By single I basically mean songs that will have a music video. Write your ideas for the videos if you like to.

  4. Started by Coeurli,

Obviously NONE of us have listened to the album just yet, I'm just preparing this thread for next week  So, post your reviews of the album here please :D

I guess there will be some more magazine, newspaper, music site etc. reviews coming up already in these 2 weeks before the album. So i hope everyone would like to post it in here if they find something. :)

  6. Interview: Pilar Zeta (AHFOD artwork creator) DECEMBER 20, 2015 We caught up with the artist behind the incredible A Head Full Of Dreams artwork Hello Pilar, how are you? I’m really good, thank you. How did you originally get involved with creating the AHFOD artwork? It’s a really crazy story. I moved to LA quite recently, and I started working for this new agency that represents a few artists. And for their launch, they sent these email blasts every week with just oneGIF image from a different artist. And when they sent the one that I did, it somehow got to Phil Harvey and he was like, “Oh my God, this would be great for the album artwork!”. Stills fro…

  7. Coldplay on new album, Super Bowl, battling Adele on charts and the future of the band If you think Coldplay is an odd choice to play the halftime show at Super Bowl 50, you shouldn’t. It’s in keeping with the extroverted and adventurous journey the quartet first embarked upon when they set about making their seventh album, . Following 2014’s subdued Ghost Stories, the band is “in the mood to party again,” bassist Guy Berryman says. The fact that the new record is “eclectic” and strives for a “maximalist sound” makes Coldplay circa 2015 a natural fit for the biggest sports event in the world. Postmedia Network caught up with Berryman down the line …

  8. 'A Head Full of Dreams' debuts atop both Top Rock Albums and Alternative Albums. A head full of dreams and a shelf full of No. 1s: Coldplay is on top again. The band's seventh album A Head Full of Dreams rockets in at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Rock Albums and Alternative Albums charts (dated Dec. 26) with 195,000 copies sold in the week ending Dec. 10, according to Nielsen Music. Dreams marks Coldplay's fourth No. 1 on both lists (since genre-specific rock album charts began in 2006), following 2008's Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends, 2011's Mylo Xyloto and 2014's Ghost Stories (which opened with 383,000). On Alternative Albums, Coldplay ties Nickel…

  12. Why Coldplay consciously recoupled before possibly fading away By this, their nearly 20th year as a collective, Coldplay have become less a cultural force than an analogue for a certain musical formula. A soggy, heart on your sleeve prescription for sadness that distils the euphoric bacchanal and cheesy lyricism of forbearers Oasis and U2 into a fun for the whole family testament to optimism. Each song methodically engineered to appeal to the widest audience in the most base emotional manner, often starting with a shallow verse to lead into a propulsive chorus or life-affirming crescendo. It’s a winning method made all the more successful by the fact that they’re…

This isn't really a game or a miscellaneous talk or have to do with AHFOD either but I plopped it in somewhere... That aside this picture was uploaded to the Coldplay Instagram, any guesses on whose shoes are pictured? This is pretty pointless but half the threads on here are anyways lol. I reckon they're Chris'

  14. #WorldExclusive is here! A Head Full Of Dreams artwork by Pilar Zeta that you have never seen before, exclusively at Coldplaying.com. We are very excited to share this with all of the Coldplayers who love artwork! Pilar Zeta created the album art for Coldplay's 7th studio album Head Full of Dreams. The life and work of self-taught Argentinian artist Pilar Zeta embody a cosmological vision. “My mom is a strong believer that ‘the truth is out there.’” Like many Indigo Children, Pilar’s search for truth has fueled a transformative journey into herself at age 16 through mediation and into the world at age 19 through art. In Miami Pilar established herself as a graph…

  15. Dear Chris, Last night in Paris first time in my life I assisted to your concert. Last night first time after the attack in Paris I felt the heartbeat of the city that was on hold not knowing what to choose - love or hate. Last night first time since 13th of November I felt blood reaching my tensed heart to open, to be able to give and receive again. Your music, your infinite capacity of lovingeverything and everyone made it happen. Standing in the public with the strangers feeling so close to them,we danced, we cried, we weren't thirsty of revenge but of love. There was nothing to share as we were one. Last night it happened in Paris... Can you imagine there are c…

  16. Wanted to discuss this move of Coldplay with you. Considering Chris's shareholding of Tidal, it's obvious the album would be on Tidal but it is also on Apple Music, another pay-only streaming service. This move is reminiscent of Taylor Swift's some time ago. Thoughts ? (My own personal opinion: I am opposed to the move. They try to force consumers who don't have these two streaming services to pay for the digital album directly, as a unit. Many less wealthy bands and artists seem to have no problem with seeing their album on Spotify, and I think it is somewhat shameful that some of the most wealthy of artists like Coldplay or Taylor Swift feel the need to enrich the…

Chris Martin reflects on his career with Coldplay during fan interview: ‘Right now, I’m having a long favorite moment.’ December 11, 2015 A few weeks ago, a lucky SiriusXM subscriber got the opportunity to interview one of her favorite artists, Chris Martin, right before Coldplay released its seventh studio album, A Head Full of Dreams. The interview, which aired on The Spectrum (Ch. 28), delved into Martin’s writing process, what A Head Full of Dreams means for the band within context of their long discography, what it’s like having worked with the same group of friends for close to two decades, and some of the highlights of their career together. On what makes …

  18. I have to admit, on first listen, I have really enjoyed the album. However, my concern is that the transition between certain songs just doesn't work. It's too sudden and/or incongruous. So I started playing around and came up with the following revised track list (Miracles included!): 1. A Head Full of Dreams 2. Amazing Day 3. Army of One & X Marks the Spot 4. Birds 5. Everglow 6. Kaleidoscope 7. Adventure of a Lifetime 8. Fun 9. Hymn for the Weekend 10. Miracles 11. Up&Up 12. Colour Spectrum Having Colour Spectrum offers a sort of Life in Technicolor-The Escapist transition that adds a degree of circularity to the record. Have you chan…

  23. Some very interesting facts about AHFOD and personal facts about Chris. SPIEGEL ONLINE: Mr. Martin, your last album "Ghost Stories" 2014 sounded somber and melancholy. And it was not as successful as its predecessors. Do you have an explanation? Martin: Maybe it was for most moments in life is not the right music. But the album helps if you're a bit confused or even depressed. It helps in the hours in which you just have to get through somehow. SPIEGEL ONLINE: Amazingly seems their new album "A Head Full of Dreams" is now to be the exact opposite. The songs are called "Fun" or "Hymn for the Weekend", some are club fit - suddenly all sounds very cheerful. Marti…
