am I the only one who hadn't seen this? would it be terrible to say that I love this song? It makes me so happy!!!

So I know there is a story behind Chris' son Moses' name. But I was wondering if there was specific inspiration somewhere for Apples' name? Just curious, and figured this would be a good place to ask!

Just thought it would be interesting to hear what place/moment/time/person certain coldplay songs or even an entire album reminds you of. For me Parachutes, the album, has been on my mind, it reminds me of the cold, slow rolling bus touring through Germany in winter with tons of fog all around the autobahn. Also reminds me of waking up when it was pitch black at 6am getting ready for school there... Lastly, it just reminds me of the bitter sweetness of love really. Sorry if this thread's been done before or something then I'll just get rid of this one :P

This is the original live debut of UP&UP which I consider the very best version of UP&UP despite a few minor errors which are easily overlooked. I think this performance of the song easily shows how the studio production influences on the song and songs in general can, well not so much derail, but rather undercut the overall value of the song. If they had left the song in its more simple form and not messed with it so much it would have been so much better. Anyway, what are your thoughts?

I was watching part of Live 2012 earlier, and it suddenly hit me that Chris's personality seems to line up with the MX era. Then I thought about what era each of the other members would be: Jonny: Parachutes Guy: AROBTTH Will: Viva la Vida Phil: Ghost Stories? Any other opinions?

This is a thread idea I got from @Archiderp (I think) and that one poster who said many genius things. This is a thread to celebrate ALLLLL of Coldplay's work. And by that I mean not being like Oh I only like Parachites to AROBTTH or whatever. Now obviously we can have discussions and respectful and at least trying to be positive debates like a debate team, no just straight roasting someone's opinion, and most of all have fun! Hi Coldplayers! Does anyone know where I can find this shirt that Guy is wearing? I couldn't find anything like this next where I live or online... I'm not from the UK so I don't know brands that might sell shirts like this. And I don't this was custom made either, because I think they buy normal clothes and put stamps and drawings on top to make them unique. One of the reasons I was drawn to Coldplay way back when, was for how melodic their music is. Chris has a way with creating melodies. Whether it's his playing them on an instrument or singing them. Often I would find myself humming lyrics to certain songs and then realizing how amazing the vocal melody actually is. Chris is really great at coming up with vocal melodies and I believe he is one of the best to ever do it! Sometimes its easy to forget the vocal melody, as you just concentrate on the lyrics that are being sung. Hey, so i've been learning some Coldplay songs on the piano and i found that some albums have their particular scale, is it normal, is it to make the album "fit together" or to have its own unique sound?

I saw CP in Cleveland last night - they were due to start in 8 minutes at this time 24 hours ago - and it was amazing! But I cried when the show was over, and I feel so blue today. I know that it could be years before another tour, if at all, even though Chris told the audience that they will be back, if we will have them (duh). Does anyone else feel sad after a CP show ends?
