for some reason i think 12 is the perfect number of songs for an album. not too long and not too short. being an even number is a bonus too (my obsessive compulsive disorder is showing i think :P ) well if you could take any 12 coldplay (album only) songs and have that as an album, what would they be? here's my choice: 1 politik 2 god put a smile upon your face 3 yellow 4 don't panic 5 talk 6 warning sign 7 in my place 8 swallowed in the sea 9 clocks 10 the scientist 11 a rush of blood to the head 12 fix you i didn't go for their best songs but more 12 songs i thought would go well together and tell some sort of story.

Does anyone know where the live footage from the video Fix You is recorded. Date and city would be nice. Thanks

Hi everyone, Although I love all of Coldplay's songs, I like the powerful/faster/dynamic songs of X & Y best; the ones with the guitar building up and becoming more and more dramatic (second half of Fix You; SOS, Talk, etc.) I''m probably not good at describing this, but I mean the ones with a big guitar-soundscape. (I know that some people probably will not like that comment - and I aplogice in advance :) - but I guess you could call them the most U2-like sounding.) I only own the main 3 albums so far...Can anyone help me find the b-sides, other non album tracks and live tracks that are most like that type of music? Thanks so much!! :) PK

It just so happens that my favourite 3 Coldplay songs from each of their 3 albums are all on track no 11. Parachutes - 11 - Life is for living (Hidden track, the live version is just brilliant though) AROBTTH - 11 - Amsterdam X&Y - 11 - Not swallowed in the sea. Hows that for coincedence?

Alright, this may be the STUPIDEST question ever, but does anyone know who sings along with Chris in this song? I was thinking "Hey... this isn't coldplay" but further listening proved it to be Chris, but who is the other guy singing with him? If it is someone else from the band, I'll feel so stupid! I'm trying to slowly download all the Coldplay b-sides, using this list here: http://www.coldplaying.com/page.php?file=/html/tracksearch/index.htm But I am having a hard time finding the "right" versions... I have 2 versions of "I Ran Away" that are both different lengths, but don't sound any different from each other... which version is right? Also, are there only live versions of some of the songs? Like I believe, "Proof" or "Animals"? So my question is, does anyone have a list of the b-sides WITH the lengths of the songs? Thank you to anyone who replies and helps me out! I will be checking in about once a day, please help out! Thank you! :)

Has anyone else noticed the similarities between the lyrics of Moses and Low? I think it's interesting. Moses - "like moses has power over sea" "if the sky's gonna fall down let it fall on me if you're gonna break down you can break on me if the sky's gonna fall down let it fall on me if it's gonna rain down it can rain on me" Low - "The sky could fall, could fall on me The parting of the seas But you mean more, mean more to me Than any colour I can see" Moses obviously makes reference to Moses, and parting of the Red Sea. End of song also talks about the sky falling. Similar themes are repeated in Low.

Yeah, you read it correctly. Believe it or not, I've noticed there are three different versions of Fix You. 1.The album version (the complete one), which lasts 4:56 2.One edit version, the shorter, which lasts 4:09 3.The third one is also an edit, but in this case it lasts 4:37. This is the one I call the 'Video Edit' because it does contain the full guitar/drum-based part at the end. My question is... ¿Which of the three do you like the most and why?

Hey!!! All people (here) know that X&Y album has 2parts: the X and the Y songs. Which part of the album do you feel more identified? Do you think that they put X to the more feminine songs or Y to the more masculine songs or is it a wrong idea? I love the X part 'cause has the best songs for me: Square One, White Shadows, Fix you, Talk... :laugh2:
