Its just dawned on me tonight... that it is one of the best fucking songs they've written/played. If they ever put out a best of after their 4th album coming late next year... they're gonna have plenty of candidates.

i dont know if any of you guys have a series of channels called "music choice" which basically play non-stop music. they only play the "singles" of the albums. there hasnt been a time in which i have heard a song in advance and then it has turned into a single. i dont mean to start anything or create a massive paranoia, but i have heard talk two times on this channel.... could it be... please post your thoughts...

I think it's awfully mixed. The sound is so dense you can't make out the acoustic guitars. I propose using Windows media player Equalizer to adjust to 'Rock' settings. Then, make the following adjustments: Adjust the highest peak 125Hz from '3' to '5' and turn up the second highest peak, 8KHz to '4' (Do this slowly, and the others will align themselves) Lower 2Khz to '-2' and lastly 1 KHz to '-3' I think you'd hear the most detail (drumming, acoustic guitars...) in this setting. This makes the sound very clear. Do give it a try, and provide me comments? I'm not mad about the single 'Fix you'. I much prefer 'A Message' and 'Hardest Part'...

Hey All! Im a new poster and totally in love with Coldplay! I am doing a project for school involving "The Scientist" If anyone knows for certain what the lyrics to this song mean or why they wrote it, etc, etc or knows where on the web I could find this information out, I would greatly appreciate the help. This is a FANTASTIC song and Im sure it has some sentimental meaning behind it. Thanks for your help in advance. honestly, i dont think coldplay and radiohead sound alike at all everyone i know says x & y is coldplay's ok computer, these are 2 of my favorite bands and it kinda pisses me off, i can see where theyre coming from though... any thoughts?

I was looking at metacritic.com's review of X&Y (not bad, 70 out of 100) and chanced upon this interesting review on Cokemachineglow http://www.cokemachineglow.com/reviews/coldplay_xy2005.html It's old I'll admit, and there are factual inacuraries (I think), but it has a sly wicked sense of humour and it's heart is in the right place, though maybe misplaced in some parts. The review can be scathing at times, but I found passages like one describing X&Y as resembling music made by a "1970’s progressive rock band..." illuminating. Some were just downright outrageously hilarious (or offensive, depending which way you look), like calling Twisted Logic an offensive…

Last Saturday, it was rainy outside all day and I was in a thoughtful and a bit melancholic mood. I came home, fell onto my bed, called my best friend and while phoning, I listened to Coldplay's debut album Parachutes. And I can't tell, somehow this silent beautiful music fitted so good and gave me a feeling of security and being relaxed while I lay there in my room and talked with my friends about all my thoughts. On Parachutes is the perfect music for autumn and chilled rainy days. I never felt this before, but now I did and I'm so in love with it...just wanted to tell you fans outside...everyone love Parachutes!

1st Thing: What's this "How You See The World" song on the japanese acoustic session. It's a bonus track or something, but I had never heard it til a few days ago.
