What are the images on the three albums I'm guessing Parachutes is a globe. I really wanna know what the X&Y cover is about.

Does anyone have the lyrics for the leaked version of Talk? Or know where I can get them? I think they're beautiful, but I suck at transcribing.

Sorry if this thread has been post before :embarrased: , but I really need to know that.... I have just listened to you only live twice and immediately noticed that the melody of the song is practically the same of "millenium" by Robbie Williams.... Did coldplay copied it from Robbie or was it the opposite? :sneaky:

I remember hearing in the weeks/months leading up to the release of X&Y, that tracks called "Blasphemy" "Echo My Name (I can't believe you're gone)" "Fury" "Deja Vu" and "Something Ain't Right" were all meant to be on the new album. Anybody know what happened to these? If they were recorded and intended for the album at some point, then that would've meant that there's practically a full "other" album out there if you know what I mean, with tracks like Ladder to the Sun, Poor Me, How You See the World, Proof, Things I Don't Understand, Sweet Marianne. I mean thats 11 tracks right there!? anyone know anything about those tracks?

A few days ago I went to the mall and i went into tower records just to check stuff out you know, and whenever i go to record store i always like checking how many copies are left from the Coldplay albums, cause i like to see how they're selling :) So anyways, a few days ago i went to tower records and i was SHOCKED! There were like 50 X&Y copies left in the store (most times there are about 5-15 copies) They also lowered the price by about 50%- i was soooo sad i wanted to cry. And I felt like buying half the copies just so i could feel better, plus they were pretty cheap. They cost 50 shekels, which is about 10$... usually they cost 90-100 shekels. I know, or atlea…

Have y'all noticed that many of Coldplay's most popular songs all appear on the first half of their album's tracklisting? The following songs all appear on the first half of their albums: Don't Panic, Shiver, Sparks, Yellow, Politik, In My Place, GPASUYF, The Scientist, Clocks, Square One, White Shadows, Fix You, Talk, X&Y. Out of the 10 singles from albums Colplay have released thus far, 8 have come from the first half of their album's tracklisting. What are y'alls thoughts on this?

I think the beginning of Low is one of best moments on the album, but if they had just cranked up the ferocity of the guitars there and for the rest of the song, it would have been so much better. To me the riffs just seem a bit impotent. Regardless, one of the better efforts on X&Y.

What other music does X&Y remind you of? Here's my list: :D - Square One Will’s snare at 2:30 – Radiohead’s Hail To The Thief. Song “There, There”. Last 2 snare-rolling motifs - Square One The guys singing “O-o-oh, Who-O-o-h…” at 2:20 – Kasabian’s singing style on title album e.g. “Club Foot” / “Reason Is Treason” / “Processed Beats”. - X&Y baseline, especially around 3:00 - Karma Police (Radiohead, OK Computer). "I lost myself..." part baseline starting from about 2:45 - The Hardest Part "I could feel it go down..." - Wild Honey (U2, All That You Can't Leave Behind) "You could go there if you please... Wild honey" - Twisted Logic Opening melody "Some l…

Read it. Hate it. Love it. Slap me on the back in congratulatory fashion. Rip me a new one. Ignore it. Your call. Read our coverage of the (pretty) new release from your boys here: http://www.cdreviews.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=804&Itemid=27 -Seth, cdreviews.com P.S. Feel free to respond with some commentary here or on our forum. I'm especially anxious to read a response from someone that thinks I'm an unfair jackass.

Here the anti-thread. -Okay I really like A message specially the guitar part after "And I'm nothing on my own, gotta get that message home" like in the minute 03:00. -I really like in the hardest part that part that starts"I could feel it go down" and in the end the beautiful piano. -Twisted Logic. Okay you now just post things you like and keep it simple. ;)

I got a copy of the version of X&Y that was released in Japan and on the same track as " 'Til Kingdom Come", about a minute after "til kingdom come" ends, another song starts, and i don't know it's name. It's an amazing song too. Does anybody know the name???

when X&Y came out some people said it wasn't as good as the other 2 albums so i want to know what you would think if ... X&Y was Coldplay's first album then ROBTTH then Parachutes would you still be saying that X&Y wasn't very good? i know that obviously it would be weird because Coldplay's music has progressed .. but what would you think? (thinking about making a 10 day poll for this ........ i'll make another best album poll to see if your opinion has changed from the last poll :D)

Which one do you like better? i personally think X is put together better, the tracks seem to fit together, as for Y, i wouldn't have put twisted logic last, i might have put proof in in it's place and moved logic in the place of swallowed in the sea and then made swallowed in the sea a b-side... + is quite good, but it's only one song, so i won't vote for it myself.

I know this song has probably been discussed before (In fact, I know as much because I posted in one), but I had to share this. My favorties on this album have been fluttering to one song to the other almost on a daily basis. I think everyone has found this trend about this ablum. It's amazing and proves what a good record this is, but my favorite has never landed on Swallowed In The Sea. Until about... two minuets ago. I didn't hate it like some people do, but I was listening to the album and this song came on and it hit me like a brick had been hurled at my face. It was a rather powerful sensation that, I must be honest, drove me to tears. I found this m…
