Mylo Xyloto - This very short introduction to the masterpiece itself will leave fans wanting more epicness. If this track was a full song, it would fit nicely here. Otherwise, it needs to be mixed in with Hurts Like Heaven. Hurts Like Heaven - Other than the autotune, this track is definitely the song fans will adore. Who wouldn't love the epic guitar solos mixed in with a high-pitched synth?. It works well being the opening track. Paradise - Being the second single, this song is either something you will love or hate. The low bass toppling over Chris Martin playing a sweet tune on the piano leaves you feeling polarized. I loved Christmas Lights! and i know that many bands (like The Killers) put out a new Christmas song every year. Do you think Coldplay will release another song? It might help them promote MX also (not that they really need it).

Does anyone know the name and style of the effect on Chris Martin's vocals during the verses of HLH? I really want to work on harmonies with that "tubed" effect but I can't seem to find a proper filter.

They were for the second time today on this Dutch show, they showed some deleted scenes I think. Favorite parts of the record? Favorite guitar or bass line? Favorite drum melody? Best chris vocal moment? Best lyrics? The chorus that everyone will be singing along to at the next Coldplay show? Best atmospheric or ambience moment ala VLV's Life in Technicolors opening sounds and the Asian sounding electronics that follow, or The Escapists Eno sounding ambiance...but for Mylo of course small moments, moments on the album that made you happy.

I was listening to Mylo Xyloto yesterday and started wondering if any other songs from previous albums that would fit into the concept/story of this album. For instance, say, Strawberry Swing placed just after Us Against the World as a song for when the boy and girl characters are blissfully happy together before the build up to Every Teardrop is a Waterfall. Or perhaps Lovers in Japan instead? Has anyone else thought of this? Or, alternatively, is there an original Mylo Xyloto-style story/concept album you have made from Coldplay's back catalogue? p.s. first thread, so please be kind! :D
