So as a way to be positive and negative at the same time, what is your biggest disappointment, and biggest surprise from the album Disappointment: Hurts Like Heaven. It was absolutely my favorite of the live set, but lost something in the studio version. That's not to say it was bad, it just didn't live up to my expectations. Surprise: Princess of China. Rihanna scared me, but I think it turned out really well.

Since for many of us have heard the new album by the MX leak, I thought to myself that we are opening up an area for our impressions on the new album to play. I think this is the interesting times for the necessarily want to wait until Friday. For me is MX the better Viv la Vida. First of all, even in MX is still Coldplay Coldplay. The album is in the first half of a truly great album in my opinion, goes down a bit but after U.F.O . Up in Flames sounds even after the farewell to the fans of Coldplay. Im going to take a guess that MX is released on different dates to cater to the respective regions beginning counting album chart sales at different times. Now, surely the music industry has to change this because by having a high profile album like MX released in Japan days before the EU and USA, it's almost prompting people to get their hands on a leaked copy because they can't wait. Don't get me wrong, Im glad the album is priced well, and I know no matter what, some people will pirate the CD, but I feel bad that Coldplay are being robbed of all their hard work, shouldn't every effort have been made to minimize piracy by releasing MX simultaneously across the globe! …

I mean ETIAW and Paradise fair enough cause they are singles for the album, but Major Minus was essentially a b-side to ETIAW, so why is it on the album? I like the song, don't get me wrong, I just don't think it should be on the album. Share your thoughts and opinions please :)

I think the reason why Wedding Bells didn't make the cut is because the chords from the song were used for UFO. It's one of the best for me in the album but I don't hear Will as much as the live version :(

Thank you for editing Chris Martin's vocals to the extreme as if he's some random man off the street who can't sing. We all love Chris' voice.. seriously why would anyone with common sense think it needs 5 different pitched dubs over the top as well as some autotune :( Thank you for killing the drums in every track. The bass sounds are good but it outdoes the drums on almost every track. Quieter tracks like Us Against The World and Up in Flames need hardly any production on yet again Martin's vocals drown in stupid effects. Thanks Brian :(

I loved Death and All his friends, and The Escapist and they actualy may be my favourite off VLV, and they sort of dealt with what we know is the concept of this record, two people, in love, who are trying to escape a currupt society. How well does the concept work on MX? Is it a concept album completely, or are thier some songs that dont fit into the theme?

Here's my take: Since we've heard a good portion of the first half of the album, I cant really say anything on MX - Major Minus. However: MX, HLH, CB, and UATW were awesome! MX+Hurts Like Heaven MX is nice, I like the airy guitar effects. The intro to HLH is a quick cut off of MX. Now I understand that that's how its supposed to be, but unless you listening to the album in order via Windows Media player, or iTunes, it sounds chopped off. Charlie Brown I feel like the intro to CB was a bit bland. It's like the iTunes Festival version (minus the audience.) But nether-less, I love it and the backing tracks + the outro were EPIC! Honestly, I think it could have fit in-between Up in Flames and A Hopeful Transmission. Would have made the album have an even 12 non-instrumental tracks, too.

Hey all! This is my first post real and first thread. I was just reading through some of the reviews and thinking about some of the reactions to the album. I was wondering if you guys thought that a lot of the more negative reaction is due to the fact that Coldplay debuted 4 - 5 songs during the summer. I know personally I really enjoy Charlie Brown, HLH and ETIAW. And I admit it's hard to not think of them as "older" songs already because they've been live for a while. But at the same time, I think that some people may be giving the album a bit of a hard time for an unfair reason--already hearing some of the material. Mylo Xyloto is reviewed in the newest issue of Uncut. They gave it 3/5, so that's a good review. By comparison, X%Y got 4/5 and Viva 3/5.

First of all sorry if I can not express myself in English very well. The Coldplay album´s Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head and X & Y were, according to statements by Chris Martin are self-contained albums. But with Viva la Vida wanted to get colors to the music and expand the chapter continues in the future. The result is the upcoming Album Mylo Xyloto. But is should this be in your eyes in the direction of the Coldplay? For me, the new album is a kind of experiment. This album sounds like a John Tesh record. The live versions are far superior without all of the overproduction. I'm crushed, I feel like the boy who just found out that Santa isn't real...fml

I listened through MX now... and I felt like I was in another world for 44 minutes. In my opinion its a brilliant concept album and its exactly what Coldplay wanted to do. Those things some of you call "overproduced" just fit in perfectly and its just what MX is or wants to be. Are there fans out there who think the same? Im in a hype right now, but I think its as brilliant as all other albums... just better as a full album because it fits in so perfectly...every song...everything. wow.

Here you can rate (1 to 10) the songs of Mylo Xyloto, which leaked today. I'll start. 1. Mylo Xyloto: 8/10 This opening just sounds great. It sounds a bit dreamy and is a excellent lead in for the following track. 2. Hurts Like Heaven: 9/10 Was my absolute favorite during the festival tour this summer and the studio version didn't disappoint me. Love Jonny's guitar work and the effect on Chris' voice didn't bother me, it sounds different. In a positive way. 3.
