Anyone know how rare this single is? I didn't even know it existed until I stumbled upon it on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=290238649387&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=019

I know it is a little greedy of me to already want them, but we know there are so many tracks out there that didn't make the album for one reason or another, and I was just curious if there is any news at all about when they may be released. I love the album and have been listening to it since it leaked and bought it on both vinyl and CD today, the transitions between songs are glorious, delicious, and zesty. It was like I was listening to it for the first time again, but this time more orgasmic. But side notes aside, if anyone knows when we might finally hear some to the b-sides or if someone read something about it, it'd be awesome if you could let us know...

is so sad to say so, but it's probable that coldplay's fourth album wont hit number 1 in the us, instead lil wayne's will. I have just checked out itunes top albums and lil wayne's album is currently at number one, and coldplay's have never been at number one. So i think you guys that live in the US have got to buy the album to beat X&Y's record of 700'000. This is my anti-lil wayne campaign :D

I know you're probably gonna all testify that you absolutely love Coldplay and don't skip any of the tracks on Viva la Vida (I didn't at first), but after 2 weeks of listening now, theres 1 track (well 2) that I skip on the album in my 40 minute ride to work and it's Track 6 (Yes/Chinese Sleep Chant). I don't hate the track per-se, but if I play it, I don't get to hear 'Death and all his friends' (a track I prefer much more) before I actually arrive at work. So... my question is this: Any of you skipping through any of the tracks yet? Also, heres my honest rating of the album (not A/A- for every track): 1. Life In Technicolor 9/10 2. Cemeteries Of London 8/10…

if coldplay put out a greatest hits before they leave emi - together with the singles, i hope they put 'moses' and 'see you soon' on it... it'd be nice if it was concise and well packaged - more like bjork's than radiohead's

Blender.com sat down with Coldplay guitarist Jonny Buckland for a more detailed look at the band’s studio experience while creating the latest album, Viva la Vida. Jonny divulged information about lunch breaks, not wearing clothes, and his feelings towards Donna Summers. Pitchfork's review of VlVoDAAHF has been up all day. I thought someone else would've posted it but i couldn't find it in another thread. they were pretty harsh... as usual. 6.5/10 Earlier this year, Britons voted Coldplay as The Band Most Likely to Put You to Sleep. The poll, conducted by hotel chain Travelodge, had Chris Martin & Co. beating out aural Ambien including James Blunt and Norah Jones. Even for a band known to take solace in their overarching pleasantness, the drowsy coronation doubled as a harsh insult. After all, Coldplay is a rock band. A grandma-friendly, Radiohead-normalizing, disarmingly polite rock band led by a man who sounds like he's still …

After listening to the new LP NONSTOP since the leak, I decided to take a nice retrospective on Coldplay's career. Favorite LP: Viva la Vida Favorite EP: Brothers & Sisters I might add that I found the Brothers & Sisters EP (though worst album art I've EVER seen) to be my very favorite of their releases. It's just refreshing to hear how the biggest band in the world has come from such humble beginnings. It's also great when you can still appreciate a band's earliest stuff even after they've totally blown up. What are your favorite Coldplay releases?

After listening to Viva La Vida numerous times I truly feel this album is a masterpiece, and not just because the music is beautifully composed, but because I've never listened to an album that gave me goosebumps, there are just so many elements to this album that express sadness and tranquility, then explode into an array of color and excitement for the listener. I appreciate that they have stayed true to their sound and agree that this is Coldplay's "The Unforgettable Fire" not only because it's also their fourth major studio album but because there is such a change in direction. I read that U2 felt "TUF" was like a sketch and when I listen to this album I can paint a p…

So, i bought the album today on the way home from work (HMV Canada) and was given a free poster, with a code on the back. The cashier told me to enter it on their site (i assumed she meant coldplay.com) and i would be entered to win concert tix. But i cant find where to enter the code. This was supposedly today only. I didnt see it on hmv.ca either. Any ideas?

Hey Guys, Ive listened to the new disc probably about 10 times over the past weekend. I just have to say, what an amazing piece of work by the band. I was very nervous, having been a fan of the pre-X and Y stuff on the bands direction. They definitely did not disapoint me in the slightest! I just wanted to see if anyone thought that the new stuff sounded a bit like Rush of Blood to the head? This was my favorite album almost of all time, and im just so stoked by the tracks. Mainly I mean Chris's voice and some of Johnnys riffs. I think they in fact went back to how they used to sound as opposed to trying all sorts of new things. Just wondering thoughts on this.

I have heard 2 versions of "Amsterdam", the album version and an early live version from 2001, both are different, and I was wondering if someone had the lyrics to the early version? And also, I have heard 2 live versions of "Idiot", and I was wondering if anyone had the lyrics to both versions? I have looked at the lyrics section of this site, it only has the lyrics to one version.

Being a Coldplay fan in the US of A is not easy: Our release comes a full six days after the Japanese, and five days after the British release. Six days of torture! Luckily, thanks to Cedric, I have heard and made sweet, sweet musical love to (don't take it literally) this new album. However, I still can't wait to buy this album in physical form, and, more importantly, in 320kbps. Then I will finally blast it from the house stereo like there is no tomorrow. All day long.

Viva La Vida (or Death and All His Friends) 1. Life in Technicolor A beautiful piece of acoustic work with some very interesting Indian influences and some uplifting chanting at the end. Coldplay fell in love with acoustic intro/outro on their last tour and it’s clear here (and in final track The Escapist) that they intend to use it again in support of this album. Grade: B 2. Cemeteries of London Moody and religious opening notes suggest that an ominous downer of a song lies ahead, but it quickly changes direction, picks up pace and is a joy to listen to till the end. Chris Martin has grown as a songwriter and it’s clear from this opening vocal track tha…

When i get back from camp, (when we have hopefully heard more ocldplay songs) I am going to start a giant coldplay song tournament. Just like the NCAA basketball tourney, there will be 64 songs and they will play each other and based on votes they will be narrowed down to 1. I would do it now but A. David said he's doing a countdown soon B. I'll be at camp We will have a nominating period to determine the seeds. then the battle royale will begin Just wanted to let you know what will go on in the near future

Hello everyone, My apologies if there is already a thread on this started, I am brand new to these boards! So, I've listened to the whole VLVODAAHF album multiple times and I can't pick a favorite...all of the songs are just SO DAMN GOOD. Many of you probably recall reading in interviews about Coldplay talking about the new album and how it would contain "a song that everyone should hear before we die." Any consensus on what this song is?? Yes? Lovers in Japan? Cemeteries of London? I can't pick! And if this is already being discussed, please point me to the thread! :)

Wow, very nice cd! Can't stop listening to this little gem. After almost 24 hours of straight listening, I gotta say, I like it better than AROBTTH, yep I said that, so flame away. This is a very strong album start to finish.
