It’s now few days since the EP was released in Australia, so high time we had another go at ‘Survivor’ – if only to see if our tastes have changed since the last LP. For those of you not familiar with this, basically in each round, you choose a song from Prospekt's March to vote OFF – i.e. your least favorite. After 1 day (11am eastern time) the song with the most votes gets booted, and we move on to the next round on until we’re left with the most popular song on the EP, as voted by you. i watched a coldplay video today on youtube its old its about johnny getting into jazz back in the parachutes era it was a joke and i noticed chris showing a list of new songs "green eyes and december were at the bottom by any chance could this song be violet hill! i dunno randomness i know lol

Welllll personally i'm going crazy waiting for this to leak. so i though we could at least make a little guessing game out of it! also, any post containing something along the lines of: THIS NEEDS TO LEAK!!!!! belongs here! i'm gunna vote for friday. but if it leaks the same amount of time before the technical release date as VlV did it would leak tomorrow! (I stopped the poll at November 18 because it's out the 19th in Japan)

Hello everyone! Lokking around online I noticed something odd about Prospekt´s March. There seems to be THREE different editions being released: the EP, the EP + VLV album and another EP limited edition. What´s up with that? What is the difference between Ep and EP limited edtion? Sorry if this is a repost, or if I didn't search hard enough, but here on Coldplaying it says that Prospekt's March will be released on Monday Nov 24th for USA and Canada, but on the Wikipedia page it says Canada won't be releasing it until Tuesday the 25th. Anybody know which is the RIGHT date?

Hi, hello everyone!! I'm a new french fan of coldplay, i discovered them with Viva La vida. I saw them twice in Paris this year!! Incroyables shows!!! So now i try to buy their cds. the new ep is fantastic. Has anyone got the lyrics?? Rainy day is awesome and it goes into this great i don't know what you call it in the middle of the song but i can't understand one word! Any help?

Not sure if this has been posted, but looking at PM's wiki page, I stumbled upon this review. http://www.nme.com/reviews/coldplay/9998 they give it a 6/10, looks like this person isn't too high on experimental stuff. And to be honest, whoever uses the f-bomb in a review isn't professional to me IMHO. Take it as you wish. ;)

I know the new EP is going to be a limited release, but how many are going to be released, and are they going to be at Wal-Mart or Best Buy, or should I preorder from the site?

Some people think that it's new, some think that it's just a slightly different version of Strawberry Swing. I'm not really sure myself, but here are reasons for the possibility of it being a new song... One.. People have used the fact that the lyrics "now my feet won't touch the ground" are in Strawberry Swing as a reason for it being a new version of SS. Well, we now know that the lyrics "now my feet won't touch the ground" are also in Life In Technicolor ii.. So that isn't really a valid point anymore. I was wondering if there was a release of a concert of the Parachutes tour - official or not? I know there's the Norwegian Live EP, but that's just 5 songs...I'm not sure if there's an entire live concert release...Do you guys have any clue? Thanks for your help.

Does anyone know if it'll come out on vinyl, because if it does i might wait to get viva la vida on vinyl becaues maybe they will come together in the package in a little bit

Oh that's just the way it was, and nothing could be better, and nothing ever was. Oh he said you could see a future, inside a glass of water, .... Son, don't ask, neither how full or empty is your glass, cling to the mast, spend your whole life living in your past and nowhere fast. That is just the way it was, ... the last line: just glasses of water Is it just me or does it seem that the lyrics from the Glass Of Water picture have not all been included in the song?

anyone else think that's what it's actually called? for no reason at all, everyone's been calling 'Famous Old Painters'... but in the original tracklisting of LP4, the title definitely looks more like 'Famous OIL Painters' definitely looks more like a lower case "i" and then a lower case "l" instead of a lower case "d." otherwise, the "l" and the "d" would be the same height. and the "d" would have a loop. see? now can we all stop calling it 'Famous Old Painters'? OIL Painters makes MUCH more sense anyway. it actually makes it sound much more sophisticated as well.

Hey guys, Im going to show you what ranks X & Y with the others like AROBTTH and Parachutes and Viva. People say it was their worst? I disagree and here's why: "Square One" - A rich, color-filled, upbeat song, full of life and wonder. It sets the mood for the album, hinting at an album that is filled with wonder and delight throughout. A great way to start the album. "What If" - An awesome, melancholy song, reminiscent of AROBTTH, with a mixture of the X & Y sound of distortion and electronica. I didn't think the album X&Y was that bad as people say. I mean I could've done without Twisted Logic, but other than that I really liked it :) Also, people are saying that RoL is just of piece of shit song when it really isn't that bad. It isn't what I would've liked it to been, experimental and all, but it was still a nice piece that in my opinion fits well with LIJ.:D Also, in my opinion CSC is one of my favorites and the album (then again I can't even decide which song is my favorite), especially when it kicks into Jonny's guitar solo!:cool: It just seems to me that people listen to these songs and think, "Oh, well that's not as good as VLV or not as good…

I'd like to apologize for making extra threads about the song, but I wanted the first post to have the downloads without any trouble. ;) I'm a sub novice when it comes to piano, so instead of playing the music out, I put it all down in Finale and then exported it as a midi. I converted the midi to an mp3 in Garageband. Since there's no way of knowing the key, I used C Major for the sake of ease. There's two tempos, 70 bpm and 120. It's obviously not the whole song, and it's all chopped up because the wallpaper cuts off in the middle.
