Well, I just watched the Violet Hill video, and I wasn't very impressed. It's a low budget, low-quality video that is random and chaotic, don't get me wrong, I'm not mad or anything like that, I guess I just had an image or an idea of how the video could have looked. But as well all know, those ideas in your head rarely turn out to be the real thing. Oh well, it's a kind of a funny video, and I look forward to their next video! Any thoughts?

I'm not impressed with any of the new songs of Coldplay that I´ve listened to so far. I´m a big, big fan of Coldplay. I spent a lot of money to see them live here in my country (400 argentinian pesos, it´s a month salary for some people). I saw them live in Miami when I was living there. I waited for the last album almost sleeping beside the music store. But after listening to the new singles, what I can say, I´m not impressed. I remember when I listened to every single of the last albums, and I was so pleased, almost in tears. But Violet Hill or Viva La Vida, aren´t so good to make me feel that this next album is going to be a great album. Maybe I´m so ex…

Today has been one hell of a day for me. I was lucky enough to take a friends spot who works for one of the lower end Canadian mobile companies at a listening party in downtown Toronto. Firstly i stuck out like a shore thumb there. I gathered I was probably the only massive fan of coldplay there. We were wined and dined by EMI Canada before some of us were able to get into a room and listen to it. Hardcore security, no cellphones, metal detectors before even entering the room. But then i got to hear it. And not one of us have anything to worry about. It is brilliant! This is the album I have best ever herd. It is called viva la vida and death or all his frien…

hi, i want to buy their singles vinyl collection. Where would be the best bet of buying one? I dont think they sell them themself anymore, right? I mean they were limited edition as far as i now. Im stuck here, im hoping to buy the set this summer. Money's not that much of a deal (i've heard maybe 100 dollars +, i've also heard its worth the money). Thanks, Paat

I'm very confused here... What is the ACTUAL album title? Is it 'Viva La Vida' or 'Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends'? The cover artwork says 'Viva La Vida'...and according to Prospekt's posts on the official website I thought they were tossing between 2 titles: 'Viva La Vida' and 'Death And All His Friends'... Did they merge the 2 titles together because they couldn't decide on 1...?

The four songs we have heard indicate what I posted earlier. "Not Everyone is Going to Like This...." Chris is honest and straightfoward. This sounds like "B" sides that were unpublished. Is there potential for more that has not been heard? Yes. With his personal life it would been hard to imagine that the, "greatest of all time" masterpiece was being recorded. This is one, if not the favorite group that I have. I have seen them four times and would not hesitate to go again. I think that they "could" be the Band that can knock U2 off of the Perch at the Top. If they had to go here before going there, then I am all for it. This is not the direction that will take them t…

I guess you could call me a 'late adopter' (I've been a fan for a few years now, but had never heard/owned Parachutes)... :smug: Could someone please provide me with a list of all Coldplay songs that fit these two conditions: - are not present on one of the three studio albums - are not live recordings. I think that would include all B-sides + a few others, am I correct? Also, if there's a particular thread/post that would point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate that too. Thanks. :P

We always bash X&Y and talk about how bad it is. Sure its a level below AROBTTH and Parachutes, but i feel we give it less credit than it deserves. Its my least favorite CP album, but its still a great album. We got some of our best CP songs from it (Swallowed, Fix you, Square one, a message etc...). I think we should be nicer to this album, because its hard to make an outstanding album following the greatest one ever created.

Perhaps it's a silly question, but when do you think previews will appear on the iTunes Store, Amazon.com, HMV, etc. Sure, we want the whole album, but 30 second previews are better than nothing at all:P

This (http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&searchlink=COLDPLAY&sql=11:gzfwxqrkld6e~T20) is Allmusic's list of Coldplay's main releases. Does anybody have any idea what The Lowdown is referring to? I've never heard of it, or of any Sexy Intellectual recording label.

It has been announced today that Coldplay will premiere the first single from their fourth album, ‘Viva La Vida’, next Tuesday (29th April) on BBC6 Music, which will then open the floodgates for thousands of other radio stations to be allowed to air the track. For those outside the UK you can listen to BBC6 Music and XFM webstreams via the Coldplaying toolbar - which you can download here prior to next week's news announcement and track premiere. If you have any problems with the toolbar please log them here as soon as possible. ‘Violet Hill’, which is released in June, will be given its first play on George Lamb's show on BBC 6 Music, which airs between 10am and 1p…

Ok, Im a bad, bad person. I got my hands/ears on a track from the upcoming album... What strikes me is that (you probably already knew this) the 'Viva la vida' song seems to be a cover of Michel Fugain. At least it says in the file: composer - Michel Fugain...
