what does coldplay's music make you think about/ feel, etc. ? for me, the "don't panic" and all tracks after "parashoots" on "parachutes" is pure mellow beach music for me. any ideas?

I read some article about Coldplay where it said "What If" was clearly about Chris singing to his daughter, Apple. I personally thought it sounds like he is singing to his wife. What do you think and have you read/heard anything that supports either?

I saw an UK interview over the internet of Coldplay talking about X&Y. They played a few of their songs and one of them the entire band sang on. I thought it was Till Kingdom Come, but when I bought the album today it was not on there. What happened? The entire band singing together sounded fantastically powerful! Where is it?

I love this part of this song I swear I'm only seeing faces tired of the human races Oh, answer now is what I need... See it in a new sun rising see it breaking on your horizon Oh, come on love, stay with me...

X&Y is a fine album, make no bones about it. The album could lose about half of the synth production though, and it would sound twice as good. The intimacy of the first two albums has been somewhat lost with this (in my mind) excessive production. The warm acoustic strums of "Sparks", as well as the euphoric but simple chorus and simple combination of Johnny's guitar and Will's drums on "In My Place" are what made me fall in love with the band. "Careful Where You Stand" gives me a "wrapped up in a blanket with my girl during a cold winter day" type feeling. The point is Coldplay's minimalism lends itself to bringing out the emotion in their music. The overprod…

I Bought the CD yesterday, and the CD plays fine, even on a pretty old stereo. But, when i rip the songs onto my iPod, the last 2 tracks (twisted Logic and 'Til Kingdom Come) skip really badly. I have wiped it off and re-done it but the same thing happens. Has anyone else experience this???

I know that at least here in America, there are going to be some pissed off fans when they first hear X&Y. The fact is, many here got really into Coldplay after Yellow and especially after The Scientist, which was played virtually on the minute here, so I really feel that people (specifically female fans) looking for those intimate piano ballads will initially be very disappointed with this album. That being said…. I really like the new music, but not necessarily the studio album. I first heard songs like “Low” and “Fix You” at the Boston Avalon buzz gig, and I thought they were amazing. When I first heard the leak of the album, though, the studio versions of th…
