One I Love is in my opinion the best B-side. Especially live! Does anyone else think that No More Keeping My Feet On The Ground should have been on parachutes?

first things, let me introduce myself, what with being a first time poster and all! hello, my name is simon. there, that's that done with onto business, could anyone shed any light onto what may have happened to 'poor me'. I was quite disappointed to find that it hadn't made its way onto X&Y, as for me it was one of the highlights of their V2003 performance...... so what do people reckon, will it turn up as a b-side? or has it been renamed and cannabilised into one of their new songs?

JAM! previews Coldplay's 'X&Y' By MARK DANIELL -- For JAM! Music TORONTO -- If you think the boys in Coldplay are playing it predictable and safe on their highly anticipated third studio album "X&Y," guess again. JAM! Music was invited to the premiere listening session for the full album in Toronto on Tuesday. What follows is not a review. It is a first impression of the album, based on a single run-through. As a caution, any lyrics quoted are simply what we managed to hear and their accuracy could be suspect. Here it goes: With its lush aesthetic polished to a shiny hue, the Brit-pop quartet prove they have the musical, lyrical and vocal c…

Hey I was reading that God Put A Smile Upon Your Face was almost left off AROBTTH, along with some other tracks. Tracks left off AROBTTH are apparantly: A Ghost, Deserter, Fingers Crossed, Murder, This Hollow Frame, In Isolation and Animals. I just wondered whether anyone knew much about these tracks, and whether studio recordings were made of the tracks? Plus, and most importantly- where can I get them from?! Oh dear! talk about Coldplay anorak! I just want to have as many of the tracks as possible!

Please make another Parachutes. Don't get me wrong - I love Rush of Blood just as much as Parachutes, but for different reasons. Each are superbly good at what they do. From the tracks I've heard on X&Y, I'm inclined to believe Coldplay are attempting to become even more "epic" (or "mega" as alot of you have jokingly said, using Chris's own word). And that's cool, but there needs to be room in there for some of the old-fashioned slow-paced guitar-driven stuff like Sparks. Not EVERY song has to be euphoric or climax to the stratosphere (like What If). Certainly, some people here will disagree with me, or indicate that Coldplay are attempting to stake out ne…

I know that probably this has been asked before, but maybe you've changed your mind.... My favourite B-side at first was crests of waves, but then others, and others... now, it's  I bloom Blaum And another thing.... choose one song that was released before Parachutes (i don't consider them a B-side because they weren't singles) mine are see you soon and only superstition..... and maybe no more keeping my feet on the ground... depends on the day

when asked if Ladder To The Sun or other old songs like Harmless would be b-sides on the first single, debs has revealed that it will all be new material. So I am thinking Talk and one other song perhaps.

So we all know what videos were made from the past albums, but if you could make a music video for one of the songs that wasnt released as a single, what would it be and what would you have in it? I personally would choose Daylight and have the band performing at beutiful scenery all around the world.

from the coldplay q&a section: "hi i just heard a song off the new album called Talk it is really amazing! I am a kraftwerk fan as well, and couldnt help but notice the song featured a riff from their song "computer love" am i just correct?" answer: talk is not going to be on the album, although im more interested in where you heard it? I beleive that the kraftwerk riff is from computer love yes. I guess this once and for all disproves the zero theory, and perhaps Talk could be a B-Side?

Ok So, a while back I heard Coldplay had this cong called Proof but that it hadn't been officially released. I think I might have heard a live recording of it too... but that was AGES ago... And today, I see that it is a b-side to the forthcoming Speed Of Sound single... Is this true? :/

i saw in some other posts that the colour codes were linked to Theo van Doesburg. Having searched for him on the net, i found the following information which fits into X&Y being about opposites etc. ''Doesburg then installed himself near to the Bauhaus buildings and started to attract school students interested in the new ideas of constructivism.'' and then i clicked on the link 'constructivism' and came up with the DADA movement in art.The origins of the name "Dada" are unclear. Some believe that it is a nonsensical word. Some believe it originates from the Romanian artists Tristan Tzara and Marcel Janco's frequent use of the words "da, da", meaning "yes, yes"…

[if it's been posted then direct me to the explanation] ok - I have both versions of the "Brothers And Sisters" E.P. {the original CD and the Panda Records one, or other one, well 2 of them} anyways, the title track sounds WAYYYYY different from the original to the "re-released" disc....... any wonder why?
