ok so it seems to me for what ive read that there is more than one bonus song for x&y i got my copy at best buy so i get Crest of Waves but i dont want to install napster at all, is there any other way to get the songs and how many are there?

Some people have commented on the bad production on X&Y... While I'm tempted to agree, I'm not too sure that nothing can be done about it. I'm one of those people who's had trouble liking X&Y, finding it too overwhelming initially, particularly because its complexity seems to lack focus/emphasis soundwise... Putting the album on repeat only solves part of the problem... It still sounds crap if you're not paying a whole lot of attention to the individual lines. Then I found the problem... accidentally. I was playing with the X&Y code and I put X&Y in the middle of Fix You. I noticed that when this is done (Fix X&Y You), there is a pair of Xs and Ys. I wonder if this is just pure coincidence or a planned combination... o.0

Hey, im trying to find a very early Coldplay song called For You. By very early, i believe it was before the Blue Room EP, and its pritty amature-ish as there is a bus or car horn towards the end thats not ment to be there and such... I'm wondering if there is any place on the web where I could find out how many different versions of one single was released? I have two different copies of "the scientist"... one has murder as a bside.. but the other one has, like six different songs (including a couple of live songs)... and now with the "speed of sound" single.. there's the copy that has "things i don't understand" and "proof"... and another that only has "things i don't understand"... are there any other copies out there? Oy.. I'm such a bsides junkie... Any help??? :confused:

Does anyone know where the name X&Y comes from?

Why is X&Y the song called that. He never says the words in the song. Amsterdam was called Amsterdam because it was written there. Could he have just called it that to keep the pattern of title tracks going? Does anybody know anything about it?

did you notice that the "symbols" on the front cover is translated by "x and y" ! yes you did obviously ;) :D but, did you manage to translate the last symbols on the last page on the booklet ? eh eh ! it means "make trade fair" !! ;) nobody does notice that thing ! but who cares :lol:

now..i know many of you are going to hate me for saying something about "A Whisper"...cuz a lot of you liked it alot.... but alot of us didn't really care for it that much ....i sorta do like it...but i usually skip X&Y doesn't really have a Whisper track....I'm not really seeing me skipping any of these to get to the next... they all are incredibly awesome

Just saw on eil.com that 'Things I don't Understand' and 'Proof' have been selected as the b-sides for the new single! Gonna be cool to see what Proof sounds like with the full band, if of course they all play on it. Has any heard any ifno about 'Things I Don't Understand'? I guess it was dropped from the early album seesions?

I am continuing the trend of threads on specific songs. 'A Message' is the best track on the album. What do you think?
