Post here once you get the album whether it's midnight tonight, tommorrow morning, later in the week, etc.

Surely this is not true? Is Chris Martin really annoying the rest of the band because of his need for perfection? Maybe this question has been answered before, and I'm sorry if it has. The search button doesn't work for me. I hope this isn't Coldplay's last album, even though it might be their best and they can only get worse. That, of course, may not happen. I just hope this is Chris M's humor at work here. X&Y better and will be awesome. I just know it.! :cool:

Did anyone order X&Y off of Amazon? When do you think it will ship it or it will arrive? I hope before Wednsday. I used the free shipping so I don't know how fast the'll ship it. I haven't downloaded the album yet, because I'm waiting for the real deal.

Am I the only one who thinks this song is completely awesome? The "floating on a tidal wave" part is reminiscent of beatles song, strawberry fields maybe.

The most beautiful song I have ever heard. I wish it was on one of the albums so that it could be released as a single; that would shut up all of the Coldplay haters.

After all the reviews of Coachella and the album, along with the few buzz gigs in Europe, this song has really caught my interest. It is getting a lot of hype, and the band are beggining to really get behind it. Closing out their set with it, and saying its brilliant must really mean they love it. Anyone else get intrigued by the lyrics "lights guiding you home" "ill try to fix you". I just cant wait for this one. The hardest thing about me seeing them live in 10 days is that then I have to wait a month for the album. Too bad I can't record the show.

I can see that a few people dont like this album. I think its great. Simply because the lyrics are amazing, the music is unpredictably excellent, overall its a beautiful creation.

Despite hearing the leak, will you still go out and purchase the album? For me, it's clearly yes. I wouldn't be on this board if I didn't want to support the band.

OK - maybe it's me but the guitar riff from TALK (X&Y) sounds very, very similar to Kraftwerk's Computer Love. Is this coincidental or conspiracy? Sm4rtie :o

I didn't think too much of this song until I heard it for the first time while I was driving. Now it's turned into one of my favorites. It's happened a lot so far, how I seem not to like a song so much - only to realize how awesome it is just a few hours later :D Anyways, I just love when the 'spoons' kick in :lol:

I've been holding off listening to the album until I could get hold of a CD quality one and now I have it, my jaw has dropped to the floor, Is it just me, or is this album the best that has ever to come out for at least a decade or so, the album itself starts out so fast and furious and then finally slows down, with the great track Till Kingdom Come last. I can't make my mind up on what is my favourite track, all of them apart from swallowed in the sea and twisted logic, are 5 stars! I have now listened to it back to front at least 12 times in the 24 hours and I'm not bored of it, this has got to be Coldplay's peak of performance, I am just loving it!!!! Anyon…

I'm very sure that X&Y has 2 sides, meaning the first part up to the track X&Y is supposed to mean something and the other half, another thing. It seems alot more calm tracks are based at the end of the album and more energy is near the front maybe its got something to do with the meaning of X&Y? After hearing it dozens of times now, I can distinctly hear a difference in the tracks before and after X&Y, so my guess is one half is X whilst the other is Y. Any comments on this?

some people are talking about the next album!!.... anyone find this absurd? the album isnt even properly released in the uk yet. Unreal

If this wants to be deleted then I understand, but I thought there should be a thread just to post reviews of the album, whether it be your own personal one or published ones, and I didn't see one posted already. They are, of course, already starting to come in and will only add in number with it being released soon. I prefer to read track-by-track reviews so if someone had free time, it'd be fun to read those (I'll add mine eventually),

does anybody really like the yellow piano version. I love it. I find that it is sometimes better than the real version. It depends on what mood your in.
