  1. I do not know, if you have already noticed: There´s a version of the Viva la Vida album that contains only Viva la Vida covers of YouTube. I found it while searching around at the iTunes Store. For people with iTunes, there it is: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=336535984&s=143443

Jonny Buckland has said there is a possibility that their next album will be quite acoustic. Add this to what Chris Martin said in saying that it will be quite stripped down, does this mean we are going to get a Parachutes II? What do you think?

As is common with all forms of art, albums tell stories within their music. And often, like films such as the Lord of the Rings, the whole story must be cut short for practical or compromising reasons, leaving a fantastic piece of art, but an unfinished one nonetheless. Such is the case with Coldplay's Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends album. A magnificent work of art it is - as verified both by critical reception and listener support - but the entire work felt truncated; a complex puzzle missing a few key pieces. Until now. I have compiled what I feel is the "complete" Viva la Vida; one that tells the entire "story" of the music. The introductory "Life in T…

So, I hope no one has made this thread before, but I was thinking about what is the best TV-performance by Coldplay? No gigs or festivals that has been shown on tv, just one or two songs like from the Grammys, Brits, Talkshow.. I would say the best for me is Politik Grammys 2003. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P54iLHkrtPA]YouTube - Coldplay - Politik - Grammys 2003[/ame] It's amazing! What about you guys?

So I finally got a chance to listen to my Blue Room EP but when I took the disc out of the cover it looked really weird, kind of like a bootleg: So I was just wondering, do any of the other Blue Room owners out there have discs that look like this? Or is mine fake... :uhoh:

Do you have any releases from Coldplay which are not produced by Parlophone? I have two: The Night Over London and God Put A Smile On Kentucky. The Night Over London is awesome. It's produced by The Godfathers. It was recorded at Brixton Academy, London, on 16th June 2008. It also contains two bonus tracks from Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, 13th June 2008. The only weird thing about this CD is that God Put A Smile Upon Your Face is called God Put A Smile Upon MY Face and Death Will Never Conquer is called If I Should Fall From Grace With God.. God Put A Smile On Kentucky is also pretty good. It's produced by Red Devil. It was recorded on March 10 2003, in Loui…

I believe absolutely bloody everyone missed out on hearing about this, but the Sound Relief benefit concert that Coldplay participated in will indeed be released on DVD! On March 14, 2009, over 28 local and international artists gathered to raise funds for the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal and The Queensland Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal to help heal communities that had been impacted by two devastating disasters. In what became the biggest fundraising music event in the history of Australia, two star-packed concerts were created and ran simultaneously from Melbourne Cricket Ground and Sydney Cricket Ground under the unified banner Sound Relief. The LI…

How long before I get in Before it starts before I begin? How long before you decide Before I know what it feels like? Where to, where do I go? If you never try then you'll never know How long do I have to climb Up on the side of this mountain of mine? Look up, I look up at night Planets are moving at the speed of light Climb up, up in the trees Every chance that you get is a chance you seize How long am I gonna stand With my head stuck under the sand? I'll start before I can stop Or before i see things the right way up All that noise and all that sound All those places i got found And birds go flying at the speed of sound To show you how it all b…

Today a long list of earlier unreleased Coldplay songs apeared on the Wikipedia page for Coldplay song, a lot I'd heard of, some not. One was The Blue Room, is there any recording of that (he desperatley asks). If not, how do we know about it?

do you think that coldplay will release a greatest hits album for 2000-2010? I thought of this because was just thinking (because I'm also a U2 fan) that U2 has made Greatest Hits for each decade, do you think Coldplay would do the same?

Like the title says. I want (no, I need) some Coldplay songs I haven't listened to before. Some that haven't been released like Bloodless Revolution and Ladder To The Sun. So basicly anything that isn't listed on the discography on the official Coldplay site. :D

  16. Hey guys. I haven't listened to Coldplay in 8 days. I start listening to them on the 25th of Sept. ... because I have been in Coldplay rehab. I lost that special touch when I listened to them, so I decided to take this time off to see if I can get that spark back. I have to stop going on Coldplaying.com on Wednesday, so two days without you guys. But I don't know which song to listen to first!?!? Everyone tell me which I should listen to first, and Ill count up the numbers on Wednesday :D (I crave every Coldplay song right now) THANK YOU YOU LOVELY PEOPLE!

Hello all. I was wondering if anyone out there has an original copy of the Safety EP (that they would be willing to sell)? My girlfriend's birthday is coming up, and I could not think of a better gift for her. . . Thanks.

Is it just me, or do all of Coldplays songs have extra instruments, I know in don't panic there are 2 rhythm guitars (Jonny plays chords with a wah, but an electric and acoustic rhythm). What songs are not like this. Also, which ones have no extra guitars, and no string part? I'm not criticizing them, but I am just curious.

  21. Does anyone know where you can buy the What If [single] and the Violet Hill [single] that contains the song A Spell A Rebel Yell? Is A Spell A Rebel Yell even in CD format? All I have seen so far is it in vinyl.

  22. I had been bothering with such problems for a long time: I have a DVD about Harry Potter, but I couldn’t put it on my pc freely. I got Michael Jackson’s classical song, but it’s the unsuitable format to my fashion players. I want to exchange movies and songs on the iPod with my friends, but it seemed difficult. ... Think many fashion fans also meet the same problems. It is annoying! Really. But now I’m not worry about these things any more. I have three powerful video tools. It can solve all my problems. Now share them with you: I. DVD Ripper Tipard DVD Ripper could easily rip DVD to MP4, DVD to AVI, DVD to WMV, DVD to MPEG, DVD to HD video and more other video…

I think this song is basically about Martin's (or someone elses) quest for knowing the afterlife. What will the afterlife be like for him? When listening to the song you get a very vivid image of Victorian London ( you know, Oliver Twist London). The use of ghosts as the subject is a particularly clever idea by Chris Martin. The line that interests me most in the 1st verse is that of "Through the dark streets they go searching". Now we know he's describing ghosts here in the dark deserted night of a Victorian London but what are they searching for. The second line "To see God in their own way". It probably suggests a search to find out what is beyond life. It may not …
