Hey all. We're all too excited about Coldplay's fifth album being released soon (ask anyone in the forum and they'll tell you that). But, here's a wee question for you: How many albums do you think coldplay will release? By this i mean before they brake up surely. God knows how many, but we can only guess for now... ...so, anybody got a guess?

I'd have to go with "Trouble". That song is so easy for me to relate to. The first time I heard it I just about cried because it was so perfect -so much in an unappy, incomplete, somber, regretful way. I love them all, but "Trouble" is, and always has been the greatest. -Soul

Does anyone have a definitive catalog of Coldplay's physical releases handy? Someone recently sent me one, but it's in an Open Office format which I can't open. So anything in Excel would be awesome, especially if it's up to date to at least 2009!

Does anyone have any idea how many of these were made and when it was released, how much it's worth? I just bought one for ten bucks... This isn't the one from the boxset or the 7" limited numbered one. It says "jukeboxes only" and has a red label and a white paper sleeve. Apparently it's a limited U.S. pressing.

Somebody, explain me please what Chris quietly sings in the middle of Murder b-side. I mean a few words after first refrain. I like this moment in the song but just can't understand it for a long time ... Thanks in advance!

  9. Well, apparently, it looks like they are different songs, in this article it says some of the songs which DIDN'T make the tracklisting, which including 'Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground!': Here's the article: Coldplay lets its creative flag fly on its fourth studio album, "Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends," due June 17 via Capitol. "We're still obsessed with making songs that can be sung to the rafters," frontman Chris Martin says. "We just wanted to present them differently." To accomplish that goal, the group turned to co-producers Brian Eno and Markus Dravs, who adorn the material with grandiose embellishments the likes of which have never been heard …

dear coldplay fans i am posting this thread to see how many of you would like coldplay and there record comany E.M.I./Parlaphone records to release the guitar version of there single violet hill because i think in my opinion the piano version does not sound like a hardcore rock song which the band wanted to sound like because when they play it on T.V. and and there concert/show/gigs it sound a lot better then the recorded album version and if the band see this and the record company does about how many of you agree with me they are bound to release it because the guitar one which chris martin plays live and on T.V. sound a lot better and bloody awesome because when i watc…

  11. Is it me, or did Chris said that with Viva he found inspiration on Les Miserables, hence the cover of the album and Viva la Viva lyrics and that for the next album, he is inspired after reading Don Quixote? I think I saw him telling this in a recent interview...

Hi all, don't know if someone has already commented it,but I believe VLV is a romanticism album (18th century),first because the Delacroix paint Liberty Leading the People is romantic, then some lyrics and song names (like 42,COL,DAAHF,LIT,Prospekt's March,Violet Hill, etc); and Postcards have some romanticism style too, perhaps neoromanticism. So what do you think, could it be inspired in the music of Chopin, Beethoven, Schumann...and the style/philosophy of that period? Best Regards, Roque. PS: Today is the 200th birthday of Chopin.

What emoticon would they be? They can represent how the album makes you feel, what the album sounds like...whatever you can think of. Parachutes: :dozey: (because it's so mellow) A Rush of Blood to the Head::bomb: (this one kind of speaks for itself) X&Y: :thinking2: (Swallowed in the Sea? Anyone?) Viva la Vida: :sombrero: (because "Viva la Vida" is a spanish term!)

I know, its just another permutation of the numerous 'post your playlists' threads, but I'm bored and figured this wouldn't hurt. Anyway, for the sake of seeing things from a new perspective I'll often listen to an album with the songs in reverse order, While albums are usually most effective in the order they're in, I've spent some daydream minutes figuring how to make an album 'work' by scrambling a few or most of the songs. Does anyone else do stuff like this? If so, post your rearranged coldplay albums. Here's a start. Parachutes: High Speed Yellow Sparks Trouble Parachutes Shiver We Never Change Don't Panic Spies Everything's Not Lost

First time posting here so please forgive me if I missed the answer when searching or posted in the wrong place. But any news on a Christmas 2009 song? Chris did a preview on 60 minutes way back in the spring and it's stuck in my mind ever since. But no sign of it so far and time is running out. Craig
