is it just me or is this the greatest fucking song coldplay ever came up with. i was a bit disheartened when chris called parachutes rubbish because it's one of my favourite albums but after all he obviously knows his shit what with politik also being on his top 3. the last bit of politik (around 3:00 mark and onwards) is better than all of viva la vida + x & y combined.

I think they are very similar songs: colorful, energetic, so alive... I felt it was necessary to compare them :D My choice is, of course, Lovers in Japan. It's like, the best song ever! It makes me jump off the chair and dance every time i hear it  btw, 100 posts!:) [i know it's quite a ridiculous mark, but it's important for me! haha] happy new year everybody!

Hey, guys. I read somewhere (actually, in a torrent site) that an early promo copy of X&Y was released with the following tracklist: X1 Talk X2 Low X3 The Hardest Part X4 Speed of Sound X5 What If X6 X&Y Y1 Square One Y2 White Shadows Y3 Fix You Y4 A Message Y5 Twisted Logic Y6 Swallowed In The Sea ('Til Kingdom Come is not present) I downloaded a FLAC copy of it (only covers included, no LOG or CUE included), the songs are exacly like the final version of the album (except for the gaps, a bit longer in this version). The covers are of poor quality, I couldn't detect any fake at the covers (the poor quality could cover the fakes). DISC COVER…

Anyone made an alternate track list of A Rush of Blood to the Head? I'm working on one now with some of the b-sides incoporated. I'd love to see Murder and Animals included in there. Oh and I Ran Away, too. The only song I'd take off the album would be God Put A Smile Upon Your Face, but thats pretty difficult. Anyone made up anything, or know of an original track list? I know that Clocks was thrown on the album at the very last possible moment, which is ironic, because it won them a grammy, which everyone knows now that the grammys are pure s**t and that rap and pop have taken over everything, and I SWEAR I WILL NOT BE A COLDPLAY FAN ANYMORE IF COLDPLAY BEAT RADIOH…

I didn't know if it was worth making a thread about this, I was hesitating but then I thought that talking about Coldplay is always a good reason to make a thread ^^ So, my second semester at college just started and we're having our new classes with new teachers and all. In my friend's French class, they're studying the different types of literature and they started talking about romance and well, my friend's teacher wanted to make them understand in a cool way what is romance and love like nowadays. He made his class listen to Green Eyes to illustrate what love is like these days ^^ Isn't that cool? :D He chose such a lovely song ^^

The Fall of Man Bucket for a Crown Mining on the Moon Lukas Famous Old Painters Marianne/Sweet Marianne The Dubliners Leftrightleftrightleft Lips Like Sugar Murder Anyone know if these can be bought (or acquired) anywhere? They're the last songs I need to complete my collection. The first three were hyped in 2007 as being the "new" songs on Viva la Vida before the song list was finalized. I haven't heard or seen a thing about them since.

t’s now several years since the LP was released worldwide, so high time we had another go at ‘Survivor’ – if only to see if our tastes have changed since the last LP. For those of you not familiar with this, basically in each round, you choose a song from Parachutes (Japan. vers) to vote OFF – i.e. your least favorite. After 2 days, the song with the most votes gets booted, and we move on to the next round on until we’re left with the most popular song on the LP, as voted by you. So, here we go with Round 2… Get voting, kids. 1 - Don't Panic 2 - Shiver 3 - Spies 4 - Sparks 5 - Yellow 6 - Trouble 8 - High Speed 9 - We Never Change 10 - Everything's Not…

I would like to see the GAME OF COLD cover the following notes; I Kissed This Girl, Katy Perry. Very good song, the Cold Gamers could make very good of it, they could PLAY MUSIC differernt, sort of like Viva My Vida but with less of the ROPE. please use this thread to make mention of the note you desire for the coldgame to make cover from.

Does anyone think the lyrics on the new songs are fairly mediocre? The songs are wonderful but the lyrics fairly obvious; basically just words that rhyme. Anyways, I'm saying I hope Chris's lyrics haven't taken a turn for the worse, and I hope they're better on the next LP.

I got it for Hanukkah tonight, so here's my review after 1 listen through. 1. LITii: Brilliant. Just fucking brilliant. Kind of wished it was left on the album, would have gone great with everything else. 2. Postcards: B-E-A-utiful. 3. Glass of Water: Really reminded me in the chorus of the ending of DAAHF. Just very climactic and grand sounding. A very good song. 4. Rainy Day: Very weird, not like anything they've done. I'm not crazy about it now, but I'm sure it will grow on me. 5. PM/Poppyfields: Another brilliant song. I can understand why it was left off the album, but it's a damn good addition to this EP. 6. Lost+: Shit. Absolute shit. Lost! is an …

Interpretation of ColdPlay's ALBUM - Viva La Vida or Death and All its Friends Its a Current Day and very Political Statement Folks, simple and clear. "Viva la Vida" is Spanish, It's literal meaning is "live the life". It is often used in English to say "long live" such as viva la resistance, or long live the resistance. The Album Cover Artwork is a Famous Painting called - "LIBERTY FOR THE PEOPLE" painted by French artist Eugène Delacroix, in 1830. The painting commemorates the July Revolution of that year. ***** As an aside ****** This year 2008, there was a Ron Paul Liberty March in Washington D.C. on 12th July "http://www.RevolutionMarch.com" Thi…

Does anyone remember this song? It was written (well atleast part of it that we have heard) right after they went off tour for X & Y. It was obviously never finished (or maybe it was?). I would love to hear a finished version of this song, although I doubt it will happen :-s
