Hi, I have a question about the Speed Of Sound 10" clear vinyl, picked it up upon release way back when, and at a record fair recently tried to use it for trade with some other stuff, the owner of the stall said he wouldn't value it at all - "can't sell Coldplay mate, no money in their stuff at all" was pretty much his responce, now I'm not one for eBay or buying stuff for the sole purpose of selling on in the future.............., I think the single cost me me £2 or £3 in HMV, i would have been sure it'd be worth at least a tenner now ?? any ideas why the stall holder frowned upon this most excellent release ??

I saw the post of your choice of X&Y tracklisting and it got me wondering. If you were Coldplay, which songs would you choose for an album. Any of their songs at all, album tracks, b-sides, even unreleased. The album can only be 14 tracks long (With the exception of hidden tracks, but you can only use songs that they used as hidden tracks for hidden tracks or songs under 2 minutes). So I'm looking to put together a special edition of the album that contains all the tracks... but the problem is trying to sort out the ideal tracklist or more importantly just what all there is. Obviously there's the standard retail editions of VLV and PM, but what about b-sides, and unreleased tracks. The new instrumental collection that recently was shared also suggest an alternate tracklisting and a bunch of tracks that were deleted shortly before the album was released. Were there more of these? Anyone who could shed some light on the complete list of material along with how I can track it down would have me forever in their debt... Also feel free to shar…

Most songs sound better live than they sound on the album but are there are probably also songs that sound better on the Album/EP/ . So which songs would you pick? I for instance think the Album version of Lost! is better than the live version, because Chris jumps a little too much live and his singing doesn't really improve because of that, and I also like Chris' (lower) voice more on the album version. I also think that the studio version of ETIAW sounds slightly better than live, on the other hand I really love the audiences during ETIAW all jumping around.

I recently imported the japanese version of X&y to get the bonus song "how you see the world". I went through a reputable seller and as far as I can see the album I received is legit (stupid copy protection and everthing), but the bonus song on it is not "how you see the world", but "pour me" instead. I've contacted the company to see about an exchange. My question here is was there a Japan release with pour me instead of HYSTW? Did I get a copy with an error or worse (a well made bootleg)? Thanks.
