Mylo Xyloto (2011)

MX Graphics? Does anyone know if there are drawings or really clear images of the MX and other designs, esp. Chris's? I'm getting a friend to make me a piece of clothing with them, and she needs something more precise than gig pics. Thanks to anyone who knows. :)

Hey Guys, Don't really know where to post this kind of thing... Noob i know, but the other day I noticed Mylo Xyloto (10 letters) was the same length as my name so.. Improvising from their artwork i decided to firstly make this: Today I was looking on the Coldplay store for some T-Shirts but couldn't find anything that caught my eye all too much so i thought i would design one myself, for myself. This is what i came up with: Front: Back (Luminous Writing): Just wondering if anyone has tried anything similar and your general feedback on the T-Shirt! :) PS - Go Easy on the Newbie :D

I think another possibility for the meaning of the title could be as people are saying is the way Coldplay chose to spell the two words on the cover - Instead of Mylo then Xyloto, it goes MYL OXYL OTO Now after thinking about it, and reading other theories, and googling a whole bunch - My theory is that it's pretty clever if this is what they are intending, god I love these guys - I'm in medicine and am familar with many latin and greek roots as most of western medicine's terms are from those two languages. Okay, so a couple of days ago, the oracle answered a question about some band named "Mylo Xyloto" about only having a single song, and no information on the band. I looked into it, and I found the "bands" iTunes page. http://bit.ly/1437jIy (click through to find the bands page) The song on the single sounds like UFO sound effects set to very Coldplay-esque soundscapes. On the page, there is also an album called "S.O.S." with each track listed as a different number. Each song preview sounds like something Coldplay would release. With the new Live 2012 promo site (http://live2012.coldplay.com/home.php) Coldplay stopped using images with the MX font and started using the font itself on the webpage. They've called it "ETIAW_V4" IMPORTANT: The font they're using IS Teco's (Coldplaying user) font, but they seem to have modified it a bit. For those who want to download the "Official" font used in their website, I've managed to download it and convert it to a windows-recognizable type font. I got it today so I thought I'd review it for you guys: It is a very well made book, it feels like something made by the band themselves! The tabs and transcriptions for Piano and Guitar are the EXACT same thing as on the album, so I was really happy about that, the printing is amazing, the quality of the book is good and totally worth the 20$. I really REALLY recommend it seriously, and I'll see if this week or the next I have time to come scan it for you guys! Also, what I love most is the feeling of playing those hard to figure out songs like MX, POC, AHT, M.M.I.X. and DLIBYH! Finally all of them demystified! :D Cheers guys!

So I know besides the officially released singles like Paradise, ETIAW, PoC, HLH, CB, MTM, what about the others songs. because I want to make a collage of all of the artwork covers together but I don't have ones for every song. So I was wondering has anybody made any fan made ones that look really good in good quality for every song on MX or at least one or two? Thanks!

I found a site that already posts a link to what it claims is a leak of the new album. The site had many comments from users who state they received valid leaks of other albums. If this is happening already, is it only a matter of time before a valid leak surfaces? p.s. I did not attempt the link for fear of viruses, but it seemed more legit than your average claim. Well, I was bored and thought it would be a good idea to make the album artwork for LP5. I presumed it's called Major Minus, but kept te .PSD file so that I can change it when I find out I'm wrong :P Used everything I've learned from studying graphic design. At first I analyzed the style of the new album, and drew the conclusion that it's a mix up between white rose foundation and new york graffiti (concrete and rose references everywhere), so i mixed up those styles and the conclusion was this: What do you guys think? (and perhaps feel free to give your say on how you would like the new album artwork to look!)

If the band does go the route of a space theme then the golden arrow could be related to the stars. I could see a lyric like "They shot across the sky like a golden arrow" BTW wasnt there a rumored song a while back for LP5 called Shooting Star?
