Why is the vinyl version cheaper on Amazon.com compared to the one on Coldplay's website? I mean do you think that the one on Amazon will come with the 12x36 poster?

well, Mylo Xyloto is not far away now and we heard a lot of good or great Covers of the new songs. And because I believe that the persons in question might not get enough recognition, I wanted them well at this point a big thanks for all the work and effort they put into the songs. So we could imagine some pretty good as a song could sound on the album. So, thanks to ALL of you Artists!:clap::clap:

Over the past few weeks I've grown to be increasingly pessimistic about Mylo Xyloto. When we all heard the new tracks live at the summer festivals, everything sounded so fresh, almost perfect. Then ETIAW, the studio version of Major Minus, throwing out MTM, the Rihanna duet news...and these new interviews of an indifferent Chris, Will feeling nervous (!), and the creation of an album that apparently had so many inconclusive phases (an acoustic record, then a film, then a rock symphony, then what?). The lyrics to the disgraceful Paradise, the mediocre Up in Flames, and UATW, all feeling like the lovey-dovey story just like X&Y (not helping). I was listening to t…

It's not funny... Coldplay - Mylo Xyloto (NME Review) 1. "Mylo Xyloto" The first sign that Coldplay are pushing their creativity to the limits arrives early, as the haunting refrain of a Tibetan singing bowl brings us into proceedings. Followed by wind-chimes. Followed by the distant thrum of a tabla. Followed by ambient samples of theremin, cut up at random. Followed by a children's choir. Followed by bagpipes and maracas, before all this excess gradually recedes, segueing into a steady mid-paced 4/4 semi-acoustic rock song featuring guitar, bass, and drums, over which Chris Martin sings, plangently: "I was a fool/ To be unkind/ To be blind/ I just need/ To unwind…

(main one's MX related so I posted it here, move if necessary) I really wish they'd record a truly great album, not just a good one - they're this generation's U2 pretty much, but where's their Joshua Tree or Achtung Baby? (IMO) they've released three good albums and look to have another album that's just 'good' out soon (X&Y is mediocre, again IMO). I think if they really pushed themselves artistically/creatively and decided to be more than just a pop band which they seem pretty content being with MX, they could record something that'd be a true classic. VLVODAAHF was a big step in the right direction with this but MX is barely a step at all. One of the main reasons…

Hello guys! I bought all Coldplay songs and albums on iTunes. But now I think for MYLO XYLOTO it's time to change my music shopping habits;) So I'm going to order the album on Amazon.de. I would have already ordered it, but the problem is, that it seems that there are two different versions of MYLO XYLOTO. It's the same in Amazon.com So, there's the first priced at 11,99€ (German Amazon!): [ame=http://www.amazon.de/Mylo-Xyloto-Coldplay/dp/B005L3HJO6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1316952628&sr=8-1]Mylo Xyloto: Coldplay: Amazon.de: Musik[/ame] and on Amazon.com, priced at 12,99$: [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Mylo-Xyloto-Coldplay/dp/B0053YGYO4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=U…

I thought the idea of the band making a soundtrack to a movie they were writing was pretty interesting.I always had this thought of coldplay or chris making a movie score for a movie. The soundtrack idea sounded very intriguing. Do you think they will come back to this idea down the road?It seems from what Guy was saying that they were quite a ways into the idea with creating characters and such.Me personally, I can see them down the road going back to it an revamping the idea.Maybe that's why songs like Wedding Bells and the ones we saw on the South Bank show didnt end up on the album.Chris said that Wedding Bells was the beginning of a story type of thing.I think it w…

Guy Berryman has revealed that Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto was originally planned as a soundtrack album. The 33-year-old bass guitarist admitted that the idea for the LP had progressed a long way before the band decided to abandon it. Speaking to Music Week, he declared: "It was going to be a kind of soundtrack album to a film we were writing which had a story through it. "We got quite far down the line with designing characters and then we abandoned that idea and moved into a different direction, retaining elements of the acoustic album and the soundtrack album. "So what we've ended up with is an album that we arrived at in quite an unusual sort of way. So it's ki…

Hi people, Here's the review I promised. http://www.austingirlmusicguide.com/2011/09/19/special-edition-review-coldplays-upcoming-mylo-xyloto/ I hope it answers most of the questions you have. Since I'm posting this for my website, I reviewed all the songs, not just the ones you all haven't heard. I took my notes on Friday night, not during the party as we weren't allowed to take anything in. As for instrumentals, there are at least 2, possibly 3, and they are very short. Another note: Paradise and ETIAW are not completely representative of the album. I mean, think about it: you've heard more than half the album already right? Anyway, enjoy. If a…

Chris and Guy had an interview on Hamish and Andy's Gapy Year; and said the album is 45 minutes long, and some of the tracks are tiny. Chris also sand the words "Mylo Xyloto" along to the tune of the xylophone from the song.

14 tracks. Maybe this will be about 60 minutes long? The last time Coldplay made an album that long was X&Y and I don't know about you guys but I and many other people consider it their weakest album by quite some distance. I'm worried this album will be too bloated or not have enough going on to hold my interest for the full 14 tracks. Anyone else feel this way?

MTV posted a short article where the story of Mylo Xyloto is revealed! Coldplay: "Mylo Xyloto Is Designed To Be A Story" EXCLUSIVE | Chris Martin & Co reveal all about their new LP & single... 15:37, Wednesday, 21 September 2011 Coldplay have exclusively told MTV News all about the second single from their forthcoming album - explaining that Paradise continues the Mylo Xyloto story. Speaking of the track, Chris Martin and Co told us that their new LP is “designed to be a story", stating: "It’s supposed to be about two people who grow up separately in a very big oppressive city, and they each are a bit lost in their lives." He continued: "They join th…

Reaching a certain level of stardom and popularity brings with it all kinds of perks: private jets, free clothes from top designers, the best seats at the most exclusive restaurants and, you know, the money, the adoration of millions, and all that. But for Coldplay, a decade's worth of success and hard work also meant that when it came time to name their upcoming fifth album, the group wasn't worried that the somewhat bizarre title they came up with might confuse their biggest fans. "That's why we called it such a strange thing, Mylo Xyloto," explained singer Chris Martin backstage at the Austin City Limits festival over the weekend. Mylo Xyloto is a mouthful, an…

Coldplay have talked to MTV News while they at this weekend's Austin City Limits fest, about unexpected team-up on the new album Mylo Xyloto - Rihanna. Here's what they had to say online: Last week, Coldplay made headlines when they announced they'd be teaming with Rihanna on "Princess of China," one of 14 tracks on their upcoming Mylo Xyloto album. And while the news may have left some fans a tad, uh, puzzled, Coldplay say the collaboration was born out of a desire to keep reinventing their sound — not to mention necessity — as they told MTV News this past weekend at the Austin City Limits Festival. "Well, our new record is sort of a story; it's not quite a musical, b…

Didn't see this article posted anywhere... its from the recent audio interview :) As Coldplay unveil a trio of tour dates in December, drummer Will Champion tells BBC 6 Music what we can expect from their new record Mylo Xyloto and reveals he's a bundle of nerves. Here's the article from 6 Music today: They might have finished the much-anticipated record with producer Brian Eno, but Champion says: "There really is no sense of relief. It's actually almost worse," he told Steve Lamacq. "It's the worst time possible just because there's nothing you can do about it now. It's like when a child leaves home, well they are out in the world now. You've done your best and…

GUYS! So! It's that time of life again when Coldplay tour :) *Excitement is incomprehendable* Post here whether you're going to any dates on the European tour? :D:D:D:D:D Also - A quick question. Do any of you know if they're planning to return to England after the first few shows? As in- after they've toured the world, do you reckon they'll come back and do some arena ones? Or do you think that December is our lot? Thanks! VIVA LA COLDPLAY! :D
