Mylo Xyloto (2011)

I was reading the Billboard article and it says that David Holmes decided to get the new songs out early (as in live performances) to incite excitement, much like Kanye West did with MBDTF. However I'm finding this is doing the opposite for me, and was wondering if anyone was feeling the same? As a Kanye fan, I was disappointed when the new album was released and that I had heard about 6 out of 12 tracks. I wanted new, fresh songs, not songs I had been listening to for the past 3 months. Suffice to say, I think Dave Holmes has made a silly decision with this then. If we've already heard HLH, Charlie Brown, ETIAW, Major Minus, PoC and UATW, that's 6 songs out of 10-13. My …

before we get the MX art. everywhere was UFO written, but now. there's nothing known that UFO is written on the MX art. Same for Alien Radio. My question is, is the whole space theme deleted? or do we get it just as Moving To Mars as b-Sides? and what about Golden Arrow. also not on the MX art. but Xylobrytes is still on it :thinking:

There's obviously a lot of speculation about a Prospekt's March EP. Will they really do that again? Especially as there's a pop-up book edition of MX. They're doing so much for 24/10 edition, it seems a bit of a rip-off to release a deluxe album a year or so from now. What other alternatives are there to the following EP do we reckon? And what would we like to see on it? I personally think they should hide CDs with tracks that didn't make it, and then do graffiti clues in big cities, leading to their whereabouts :P

The songs Princess of China, Up In Flames, and Paradise (obviously) will be released! So says The Oracle here We already know that Paradise is the next single and that Up In Flames would be included on the album (having the fact that Chris said it was the missing piece to the puzzle), but we never really knew about Princess of China. Some people thought it was scrapped and others thought it would be a B-Side to Paradise. We know that Paradise is going to to be the insta-grab single for the Mylo Xyloto iTunes Pre-Order so I guess we can eliminate that last rumor. From this information, I'm guessing that Princess of China will make the final cut. What do you think?

In case you haven't heard, there is a Coldplaying festival coming up soon and we need some help organizing the events. Vote in the poll for the events you will attend, or most likely will attend. If there isn't at least 5 people attending an event, it will not be in the festival. After we vote on which events to keep, we will decide who will be in charge of each event.

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone had heard anything about wedding bells making it onto LP5. Hadn't heard anything about the song since Chris played it at the Apple event a while back. Did they decide to cut it from the album? I loved the song with just Chris and his acoustic when he sang a part of it for the south bank show. Any thoughts??

At this point in the pre-production of the album, it looks somewhat obvious that MTM won't be included on Mylo Xyloto, but does anyone else get the feeling that it may be the most important song from this era? Knowing what we know about MX, and the loose concept of the concept surrounding it, I cant help but think that it will either serve as a preface or an epilogue to the album when the sequencing is completed. Anyone else feeling the same? Listen to the lyrics amd check out some other forums to kind of get an umderstanding for what I'm asking.

The boys are getting old now, and Chris has made comments on the longevity of bands and how at 30 things change. What do you guys think?

On another forum I'm on we had a forum wide festival which contained several contests and tournaments and special events. I know how tired everyone probably is of all the speculation. But since we still don't know anything new...and I'm curious to know...which of the new songs do you think will make it on LP5? I mean, I don't know. I've struggled with this day and night. There's so many ways to go about it and so many different conclusions to make. There is absolutely no wrong answer here.
