Mylo Xyloto (2011)

So if anybody saw the Christmas lights thread, this is similar. I was thinking we all say one word of a song and when it ends, the next person to post chooses the song, tells us what song and then starts it. I'll start off. Para-Para-Paradise. "When The thread of random Xyloto'ness

Several places in the pop-up album, there are lines of lyrics that don't appear in any songs so far from the MX era (I've typed them up down below). Could these lyrics be potential b-side or EP material (or are they just alternate versions of existing songs)? Or will they be discarded and forgotten a la Famous Old Painters? Some of the lyrics: A Hopeful Transmission Mylo / Great Expectations Another interesting thing I found was a page with 'MAJOR MINUS' written up at the top, but instead of the lyrics to Major Minus, we get these lyrics which presumably belonged to A Man Who Swears: Interesting, no?

So after going to the Coldplaying chat at xat.com....I decided to make one for the MX era. I use xat all the time with my ps3 clan. So i have expierence with xat. This might seem a bit far fetched.. but with Paradise peaking at the #2 last week, it seems plausible that if we buy the song even once each, it would stand a good chance of a Christmas number one. Some of you may not like it - i certainly do - but the point is to have a decent artist and #1 for once at Christmas! I don't want another crappy Xfactor #1. C'MON!

I just don't where to ask/put it else. So I Question it here. Coldplay is doing this amazing last December tour, en after it they have no live shows for about 4 months. Thinking about a tour just started it's a bit weird. What do you think Coldplay gonna do? Only take vacation? Releasing and working on the (fan needed) EP? Only practising, and come with a totally different setlist in April? Let's hear your thoughts I'm hoping about a march Car Kids EP. My only two gripes about Mylo Xyloto come from ETIAW. That name is a mess. I hate it. It's insanely cheesy. And my last gripe is when he screams from 2:52 to 3:02. IT WAS A WAA-AAA-AAA-AAA-AAATERFALL! IT WAS A WAA-AAA-AAA-AAA-AAATERFALL! But I love the rest of the track. And my favorite moment on the album comes from Charlie Brown. Light a fire a fire a spark Light a fire a flame in my heart I get goosebumps from those two lines. He recorded it so perfectly and I especially love it live. :D I would also like to say that I love every track on this album.

Luke Pritchard, lead singer of The Kooks recently mentioned THIS in an article: "I'm really not a fan of the new Coldplay stuff, but this is genius. One of his best songs ever, in my opinion. How could they leave this off the album?! It's like Louis Amstrong meets Pink Floyd! I met Chris Martin for the first time in Paris while we were doing Tarratata about two months ago and I mentioned this song. He looked genuinely disappointed that they'd left it off. Hey - listened to the earlier Norwich show which sounded amazing - thx Dan and Rik - well one of the things that came up was the setlist and how they don't change it up often secondary to set design, lighting, etc. It got me thinking about hearing the complete Mylo Xyloto. Well I attended a Weezer concert last year where they played the entire Blue Album after playing a hit from each successive album they've released - it was amazing hearing the whole album played in succession even though it may have not been a concept album initially. I am not sure if all of you have noticed so I figured I would post it here for everyone. It looks like the lyrics in the recordings section for Mylo Xyloto have been corrected on Coldplay's official website. Before there were several spots where the lyrics were quite clearly incorrect but it looks like someone went through and fixed all of the mistakes. Good thing too, it was honestly a bit embarassing! I'm worried that LP6 will be a lot like Mylo Xyloto, like it will have the same new tone and over-produced pop songs. I just wish that LP6 would go back to old Coldplay stuff and not continue down the Mylo Xyloto path. Does anyone agree with me?

ive heard chris say that there is sort of a story in the album..any ideas on what it is?
